Alarmingly we have dropped to #35 on Mediabase for the last 2 days. I'm still requesting & want to make sure you guys are still requesting too. Our spins & stations have also dropped. My staion did not play it yesterday.
Just be sure to go to the voting thread & get the vote out.
We don't give up & we don't roll over & play dead when tis kind of thing happens.

Today Long Way to Go is Still #35 on Mediabase.
On Spincrease it moved 59 spins on 168 stations.
Spins are going down, folks. Get those requests in.

Didnt give up was emailing the station to request to play it. Was calling the station and very hard to get a phone answered. other day phone finally answered and asked why hadnt heard the song lately and thats when was told they didnt play it anymore. We still hear alot of the older songs if find to know they still play alans songs.

Thanks for the info. It bothers me that a station doesn't play it anymore. It also bothers me that last weekend when Evan Farmer of CMT Top 20 said that Long Way to Go was his favorite video he had ever seen on the show why didn't he put it on the countdown this weekend. Guess somebody is telling him what to do. I don't really know. Our only choice is to keep requesting this song. |

Got some good news. Just checked Mediabase & it shows a new reading of Long Way to Go as up 1 to #34. Our requests are helping. Thanks to all who are requesting.

Yee Haw.. When I go down the list I always add in the 25 character message..."Please play "Long Way To Go" by Alan Jackson. Not sure it helps but will try anything. Marian

Mazie, there seems to be a disconnect between radio & Music Row. I'm sure Alan's label will fix it. I know this is a good song but my station is not playing it. It is back down to #35 on Mediabase & lost the red arrow too but I think it will come back up. |

Surprised it's moving slowly but it's hard to get radio to play true country music....alan style. But will keep pestering radio.

2 days ago Alan's song wasn't showing on Mediabase but now it's back on & up to #33 with the red arrow indicating spins are increasing.
Now this is more like it.

On the Spincrese Chart it moved 53 spins on 167 stations.
Those numbers will get better.
My radio station, which is Alan's hometown station, finally played it at 2:22 AM- Huuray!
