Got some weeding done in the garden this a.m. before it got too hot.  We have gotten some tomatoes already.  Jerry is so proud!  I need to clean the windows in the sunroom, maybe today!

Well Jeri, I am so sorry you are not able to go to the Chattanooga show especially with back stage passes.  Sorry you are having breathing problems.

Randogs, everytime I see the tall blonde guy the thrill is like the first time I saw him!

Yep, Harriet, we will just have to wait until next year or whenever AJ decides to come closer.  I have tickets to see George Jones in Cherokee, NC and also Tim McGraw in Charlotte.  Hopefully I can get my friend to go with me.  Also have tickets to see Sarah Palin at a Christian Women's Conference in Greenville next spring.  That will be interesting, especially if she runs for pres., we have meet and greets for that.

We got a little rain last night.  The U of SC is heading to Omaha for the CWS again.  We watched the game on t.v. last night.  I'll cheer for them, but they are not my favorite team, Clemson is and they lost out.

Y'all have a great Monday.

Sharon and Elaine enjoy your tomatoes!  My Dad had 10-12 plants and it finally got to the point that our watering was not doing much good.  It has been so hot and dry here - we have only had about 7 inches of rain this year and none for about 2 months and our temperatures for the past month have been 95-105!!   We just went ahead and picked all of the tomatoes on the vines.  I have been so busy sharing with everyone and trying out new recipes so that none of the good tomatoes go to waste!!!!

Windy and rainy weather in Belgium. It's gona be a tough 50 miles wet ride tomorow.
Harriet, i'm a non paying member of Ronnie's fanclub aswell. One of the first to sign in . But Alan's still my #1.
Elaine, enjoy the game tonight.
Elaine & Sharon & Texasfan, i agree... nothing better than fresh tomatoes; I have some plants of" Christmas tomatoes" (raceme tomatoes).
Sharon, a couple of nice concerts in prospect. Wish i could go too ... except Sara's, lol.
Randogs, congrats on the tickets, enjoy.
Jerrie, wish some rain coming soon. Take care.
Dizzy, I love Alan's new song aswell.  Sounds a little like "Tex-Mex" with the trumpets; More of that please Alan.
Kathy, enjoy the nice weather and flowers.

Rain all around us, but nothing yet.  The temps are fine (low 70's), but the humidity is stifling.  Rain already!
Big deal with the Cubbies hosting the Yankees this weekend.  The media is all over these games and they are on the Sunday night game on ESPN tonight.  Cubs won the first game, lost yesterday - here's hoping they can win on national TV tonight.  GO CUBBIES!!  Hope the rain doesn't ruin this game.

Hello AJ Fans and Freinds!

Elaine and all of you getting so much rain.. I wish you could share it with us here in Dry conditions in Florida.!

We have had smoke recently from GA swamps, so it's indoors for me! Except for a trip to mayo clinic for tests and more to come I am doing better with asthma somewhat. I hope all of you are fine, I would love the rain with these drought like
conditions. This is the longest period I can remember it being this bad, but it seems weather & all things are changing.
Take care to all of you,Sorry for neglecting the board but Just too ill to post for a few days.Jeri-MS

Jeri sorry to hear your not feeling very good.
I pray it won't last much longer. I wish we could
trade our rain for some of your sunny and hot
weather.
I am praying that Friday will be sunny for Kelsey's grad.
They take pictures in the park and it won't be very good for
those girls in long dresses.

Hello AJ friends,

Haven't be on for awhile.  Getting too caught up on facebook which can be a bad time wasting idea.  Just wanted to say hello to everyone and to let you know I will be going to Nova Scotia (Eastern Canada) for a 10 day holiday with my sister.  She has not seen her 10 year old grandaughter in 4 years and has a 2 and 1/2  year old grandaughter she has not seen yet so we are excited.  Leaving on July 10!  Now I have a weird question for y'all.  A bunch of people on facebook are all friends with Alan Eugene Jackson or so they think.  I think it is a hoax as there is no way he would have time to say goodnight so and so and oh Congratulations  to so and so every time you turn around.  Is anyone aware of this and also he says on the profile his birthdate is October 17, 1958 and there are pictures all over the place but I have seen them all before.  Just wondered if anyone was aware of it and if it is someone pretending to be Alan.........should somebody be notified???  Just wanted to let you know and get your opinions.  Thank you.

Hope everyone is doing well and Jeri - my cousin is just getting over Vertigo and he thought he was dying so no fun I understand!!!!!  Everyone stay safe and enjoy the summer!

It finally rained here last night.  Cooled down some.  I guess they got some terrible wind & storms just south of me in Illinois.  It seems all the storms lately are so violent & every warning is for 'severe' storms.  Whatever happened to a nice, gentle summer rain?
Happy first day of summer to everyone - although that was officially yesterday I guess.
Jeri - hope you are feeling better soon.  Take care of yourself.
The Cubs are not doing so well this year (as usual).  Lots of injuries at the beginning of the season.  They lost that last game to the Yanks & are now in the midst of the Crosstown Classic with the White Sox.  Won the first, lost last night after a rain delay.  Try again tonight - hope they beat those White Sox!
