I am hoping June has some hot weather
in store for us. May has had the worse weather we have had
in years.

Elaine, I feel just the opposite. We have been in the 90's all week & it is supposed to be 97 today. This is July weather. We jumped from winter to summer with no spring.lol  Hot weather is my least favorirte so just have to get through it every summer but it's starting too early.

Thanks for starting the June Thread. Hope everyone is doing well.

Thanks Elaine for starting the June thread.  I can hardly believe it's June already.

Harriet, I agree - we've have had no Spring.   We went from 43degF a few days ago to 95degF on Monday & yesterday.  That is definitely July weather.  Much nicer today, 75-80deg and a nice breeze.  Love having all my windows open - don't like living in AC all the time.  Keep those 90deg days for late July & August.

Finally got some flowers yesterday and I also bought some herbs.  I've never tried growing herbs before, but they were having a special at our Garden Center so I thought I'd give it a try.   Use them all the time in cooking, I might as well try to grow my own while weather permits.  I'll let you know how it turns out.

Thanks for starting the June thread, Elaine.  I will gladly send you some of this extremely hot weather we are having in SC now.  It's too early for roofers to be on t.v. having heat stroke, and weather warnings on the t.v. too.  I prefer hot weather, but I have the luxury of being inside the A/C house looking out.  It is supposed to cool down some by the weekend.

I picked two cherry tomatoes off of Jerry's tomato bush!!!! He had to stop by on his way running around and was tickled to see them.  We have blooms on the zucchini and yellow squash!!!

Kathy, I have been wanting to plant some lavender but haven't gotten any to plant.  My daughter plants the herbs in pots and has real good luck with it.

Looking forward to going to the love offering concert of Monty Allen this Sunday.  He will be promoting a new cd I believe.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Yes Elaine thanks for starting June. I love his June calendar picture. It went from Spring (rain, & more rain & storms) to 90+ degree weather in Indianapolis this week too. I love summer, but come on...it's a bit early for those temps. Everyone take care.

I usually save fan club calendar download as my background on my computer, but I'm unable to that with June's calendar.  Anyone else having problems?  First time I've ever had a problem.  I just love having them as backgrounds.

I hope Everyone is making it fine.  FL is way HOT  now but Thankfully no storms like at other places.
my Asthma is reeling.
Jean/B Since you asked, I am allergic to Everything outside when pollen is around in FL, it aggravates my bronchial
Asthma by making me where I have to use numerous medications & atomizers or to inhale, in order to have a pretty normal life..can't breath well, but it could be worse..I have had it all my life and it seems to worsen in the summer.Pollen, dust etc..
Dizzy I hope you can take this heat we are having now.. It's HOT! At least we don't have storms yet, but Hurricane season is here, so we must keep watch, anything above a cat 3 , we leave.. God Bless those in the Horrid storms.
Dizzy keep check on the fires around & stay safe.. It's that time of year now.The smoke has been rough on me, to get out.
Sharon , you remind me of my Mom gardening. I wish my husband would do one for me, but he's a city guy ha!
Listen All of you, if you get a message byo of your phone that says, "Your Account has been compromised" be sure to NOT answer, call your BANKS right away.. This happened to us recently and we have a unlisted number..Scared me to death..
They found a Hacker had tried this here where We live..So Dizzy beware, Jax is getting those calls too. Do not give any info at all and hang up right away and call ONLY Your Bank#. Our accnt was safe.. They issued us the Info . So glad they got the Hacker..
Elaine that is so nice of you to make Kelsey a Quilt out of her wins & T-Shirts, that is so nice. She will love you for that.Great Idea too.I never have time to Quilt but I use to with my Grand ma, so now I have it..Mom made such pretty Quilts..Gotta run, Take care to all of you, stay safe, Jerrie
Sharon I got a CD of Montys on I-Tunes...what is the name of his latest? He is such a nice Guy!

We are having some beautiful weather, if a little on the hot side for this time of year.  But can't complain about the sunny days.
Cleaned my garage yesterday with the help from my youngest son.  Swept the floor & cleaned out a lot of junk - more stuff for Goodwill.   Had to disassemble a metal shelving unit that was very unstable - will have to replace that one!

Finally got the June calendar set as my background - had to go through a different internet provider.  Now I have that wonderful June calendar picture to look at every day.  YEEHAW!!

Hello, AJ Friends. I know most of the country is under a heat wave & breaking all kinds of records. There are fires in Arizona- hope they are not anywhere near Jean.
In spite of the heat we went to my nephew's wedding- outdoors in 95 degree heat but they did have a canopy so we were in the shade for the ceremony itself. We waited 2 hours until they cut the cake & left shortly thereafter, Felt like a wilted flower when I got home but it was a beautiful wedding & it was wonderful to see these young people happy on their big day.

We are keeping the AC on & running fans too. It's never this hot in May except for last year- I remember we had 90's in May in 2010.

Jeri- sorry to hear your asthma is so severe.

Elaine- Think that quilt is a great idea.

Sharon- Hubby is the yard man & he has a garden & flowers & the yard looks very nice. I don't have a green thumb at all.

Sherry- the heat must be unbearable in  Texas.

Hello to Kathy, Dee, Brenda & all of Alan's great fans. Hope we'll be hearing new music soon.

Harriet, summer is a tough time to have an outdoor wedding!  Glad to hear you did all right.
We had a high of 105 yesterday - the highest we have ever had in June!!!  They are predicting 103 today and it is sooo dry, we have hardly had any rain this year.
