I found this article at thebooth.com and thought would share it with you all. Alan shared his thoughts here too in remembrance of 9/11.

                 DAY OF REMEMBRANCE

Thank You on this Day of Rememberance For the Greatest Generation, World War 11 for their ultimate Gift to us.

My own husband served in Vietnam and I Never knew if he would return to see his New Son, born days after he left the States for Saigon. Thank You Also to the Wives and  families for their support back home.

For those who have served our Thanks and those now serving a huge Thank You For the Freedoms we share, we admire you and God Bless You and Bring You Home Safe..
God Bless, Jerrie-FL

My Mother's Twin Sister's Husband served in World War 11, he never returned. His Wife worked At Fisher's in Memphis, TN
while he was away, building Airplanes. She was one of many, of "Rosey the Riveters." The war ended,  not long after he was brought to the States for a Military Funeral. She never remarried.

Today is a Special Day for us..somewhat somber but grateful.

I grew up during the Viet Nam era and it is shameful the way the soldiers were treated.  I am so happy and grateful that things have changed.  Much of what we enjoy today is due to the sacrifices and blood shed by our soldiers for this country.  Freedom would only be an ideal if it were not defended.

I believe that you will get as choked up as I did when viewing this next video, an ad from Budweiser.  Quite simply, no words are required in this ad to convey it's awesome message.

Thank You so much  for this. My husband watched and said, "That's the way we should have been treated but instead spat on." we teared up.

The First Concert I heard Alan Jackson's "Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning"my husband and I literally cried... It was what we all were feeling and all we did, at this horrid time..
I thank Alan for writing this Song and it's in the Library Of Congress Now. It's Become an Anthem of sorts. Love it!
Thanks Again, Jeri_MS
PS- we should all applaude those serving before and  today, the Freedom we have , is due to their sacrifices.
They simply Love this Country and are willing to give their lives for Freedom. The Greatest Country

Thank you, I know how teary and choked up I get when I see that ad.  I put on FB today and tweeted it several times since yesterday.

I would never derail or disrespect this topic.  I feel confident that this next ad will serve as a touching reminder as to the most recent reason that we have to salute our soldiers.  Budweiser has done ads worthy of awards on many occasions, haven't we all just loved those Clydesdales?  However, my favorites shall remain their ads saluting America and our soldiers.
