It's funny that a lot of the recipes are ones we have had for years but forgotten about.  But
now because they are Alan's they are fun to try again!   YUM!!!!!

I agree Jinx!  Lots of these recipes are ones that my Mother and I used to make and now it is fun to have them again.  I made the Baked Beans a couple of weeks ago and they were really good too.  I am going to make the Chocolate Chip Cake today to take to my cousin's this weekend.

AJTexasFan - I've made the Chocolate Chip Cake & it is delicious!  I've also made the Sweet Potato Sueflay - it was wonderful.  I'm making it again for Thanksgiving.
Enjoy cooking with Alan!

I am gonna make the Banana Pudding. My mother use to make it when I was a kid and I lost the recipe. I was thrilled when I got Alan's Cookbook and it was in there. Brings back a lot of memories of when I was a kid and mom made that pudding. Can't wait to try it again soon.

I made Alan's spaghetti sauce and my family that it was great.  Also, my daughter made Anne's Twice Baked Potato Cheese Soup and they loved it.  Sheri

Going to make the chicken salad today ,Love this cookbook! It's just like Mom used to cook. Southern cooking ! Mom was a
great cook and so was her mom.. I think Alan's Mom cooked like mine , recipes are the same.. I wrote a lot of my mom's recipes down for my children to have someday. That is a good Idea for anyone to pass on to the children.
Love the photos in this Cookbook too! I got the Apron also, so I will have to put my husband to work!

Great recipes, Thanks Jerrie aka Artsy MS-FL

Made the banana bread today - but the recipe calls for 2 TBSP of baking powder and I am thinking it is supposed to be 2 tsp.  - that is what I used and it came out great. I am going to check on this with Cindy tomorrow -

Also - on the holiday cutouts - it is supposed to be 1  1 /2 cups of flour not 1/2 c - that one I got directly from Cindy who got it from Denise  -

so far these are the only 2 mistakes I have found
