Sharon, Happy Anniversay to you and Jerry, hope you enjoyed the day.

I didn't get to see the wedding until they showed it later.

My daughter, Rhonda and three of her friends were in Vegas. We left Ky on April 25 and got back home May 2.
Her birthday was May 1, I bought her and myself tickets to see Donny and Marie Osmond in concert on April 30, and paid extra to get a Meet and Greet and our pic taken with them.  She has been an Osmond fan since her teen years, she was on Cloud 9 the whole time. We saw them last year but this time we had seats next to the stage. We were close enough she could lay her arm on the stage.  When D and M came out they gave both of us a slap on the hand.  We all had a ball the whole time we were there.  One of her friends hubby came too, poor guy 4 women and one guy. But he had a good time too.

Since it doesn't look like I will be seeing A. J. anytime soon, thought I might as well go see the D and M concert. ha

I haven't heard from Melaine lately but glad she let someone know she is okay.  That was terrible several states got hit by the tornado.  It appears tornadoes are hitting all during the year now, it seems it used to be in the spring and fall.
I am thankful we have a storm shelter if we ever need to use it, but hopefully we won't ever have to. But they are always hitting close around us. The Good Lord has blessed us at our house.

More flooding it seems, will it ever end.. Our house is near Memphis and now the MS river has gotten up to the Pyramid
and areas around there. This hasn't happened ever or at least in years & years..Hope Melonie is ok still.
Ronnie Dunn and other Artist are having a concert to raise money for the tornado victims in  AL, etc..It will be in Nashville. Ronnie is so caring , actually Hank Williams Jr. may have come up with this idea, not sure. It will help, as so much
is needed, w/most having no insurance..and lost everything..

Elaine, I'm glad you have family to visit, I know when it's like you are, family means so much.. we still haven't been to our Sons as we never know about traveling now to MS with the water. The small river near Wolf River, drains into the MS most likely. I hope My sons house will be ok this time near Nashville.
Elaine you just reminded me, I'll be doing that, not that far away for my GD's graduation but it will be next year..She got some of the highest scores for her SAT, I was so proud of her, I got her a little necklace to remember.
Elaine, I'm happy for Marie to remarry her love. She said they were too young, way back when..now more mature. I saw her in a macy's Parade and she looked so beautiful , this was in the late 80's, she still is & Donny is nice too.Dot that show in Vegas sounds nice, I know you enjoyed it with D & M in Vegas. we need to enjoy, but just so happy the weather is nice here presently..and not a good time to travel where my grands are. On the way, I mean. They will be grown, it seems.
Got to run now, Take care all of you. I hope we hear something from Alan soon! He did tell everyone "to give to the Redcross," which we did.. concerning the storms etc.. G'night to All, Jerrie-MS

Good Morning!  Just realized I haven't posted in the May thread yet.  Been busy - had some painting done in my condo (both bedrooms) and of course you have to clear a lot of stuff out before that can happen.  My little condo is a mess right now, but I'll get it back in shape the next couple of days.   Good time for me to declutter - I'm not really a pack rat, but things just seem to find a place here.  LOL!

Still reading all the posts - hope everyone is doing well.

Hello, AJ Friends. Haven't posted in awhile, been under the weather with a sore throat & general aches. Am taking an antibiotic gladly since I have had pneumonia twice in the past 2 years.
That last weather system was mostly rain & a little bit of thunder- thankfully no tornadoes.

Elaine- So glad you will enjoy Kelsey's graduation & have so much family there.

Dot- Glad you have a storm shelter. We have a basement but a shelter is better.

BHR- I actually enjoyed this Royal Wedding more than Charles & Diana's wedding becuase it looked like Will & Kate had a real connection between them & I did not see that with Charles & Diana.

Ellen- glad you got to see Alan.

Ray- I know how that feeling of floating in the air after an Alan concert is. Glad you had a great time.

Kathy- Am watching baseball games now. Read in Sports Illustrated that the Cubs have a new young phenom at shortstop & there are great expectations for him. I hope he doesn't experience the SI Jinx.

Dizzy- Glad you enjoyed the wedding. I did too.

Sherry- And I would be glad to send some of our rain to you if I could. I hear the drought situation in Texas is very grave & the ground is cracking & the crops aren't growing.

Jeri- Isn't it nice that Alan will now be a part of the CMT Disaster Relief Concert. I hope your place in MS is OK.

Hello dear friends,
today is a very sad day for the cycling world. Wouter Weylandt, a young Belgian rider, crasched in a downhill of the third stage of the "Giro d'Italia". He hurted a wall and died inmediately. I was watching the race on tv and it was horrible !Wouter was 26 and his girlfriend is going have a baby in September.
Last sunday i was out for a ride and in a fast downhill i was thinking by myself: what if i crasch? My speed was 60km/40 miles.
May i ask to remember Wouter, his girlfriend and family in your prayers.
Thank you my friends.
Have a nice day,
Jean

JeanB, Wouter's family, his girlfriend and her family are all in my thoughts and prayers. This is a horrible tragedy. I can't imagine the shock and emotions on everyone that witnessed this tragic incident. My heart goes out to all of the Belgian cycling fans and the girlfriend and the family of this young cyclist.

To all of you living at or near the areas threatened with flooding from the rising Mississipi River water, please stay safe. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you too. I'm almost glad we no longer live in Biloxi, MS., much as I did like living there. . .in a way. Elaine, I agree with you. . .it is scary.

Harriet, feel better soon. We still need to get together again soon. You're AJ mug still awaits being home with you. :-)

Jerrie, I didn't find you sounding condecending at all. It's really hard to actually know how old or young the person you're speaking to at online forums. I have made that mistake myself thinking I was responding to someone my age then it turned out she's 27 years younger than me. :-)

Kathy, good to see you posting again. I can relate with you on the painting. I'm sure everything will turn out well.

Nelle, Happy Mother's Day to you too. . .belatedly. I hope you had wonderful one.

Take care everyone!

Jean B. what a terrible tragedy.  I will certainly keep all the families of Wouter and his girlfriend in my prayers.
You be careful and safe in your riding.
