Hello, My Friends. Another month is upon us. I hope the storms will not be worse in May as they say- that's what they've said on the news. A lot of people have had enough so I pray for a quieter month of May.

I really enjoyed the Royal Wedding & posted a couple of pics on the April Thread so will bring them over here so all thnat are interested can see them:

Harriet,
You are so right, the time is flying by! We had meant to go home to MS, the week of the storm but my husband noted his Dr Appnt-Thank God !!.. we would have spent the night near , as that trip is 13 hrs straight, so we stop there to rest.

Sure nice to hear Melanie is ok.On our way back. I love to do like( Alan has said he does, take the Natchez Trace HWY) and go by my sons in Nashville. I was out strolling with hubby in a stop there and he said"What is that noise, might be a bear"I was back in that car so fast lol Prayers yes! Harriet for all the people, whom they said most din't have Insurance as it was too high..a shame..
Hurrican season is not even here yet Yo! at least we can go out of town in time..sometimes Tornados go w/them also.
we take a few photos & clothes & hit the road.. THINGS are not that Important to me..

The wedding was a wonderful break from the tragedy.. Love the photos Harriet.. those boys turned out good. Diana took
care to make sure they had a pretty normal life..She adored her children. They will be out of the News more, I think..

This doesn't mean I will stop praying for the people in the States, affected by the storm (and our Military Guys too.)
Take care everyone, anxious to hear if Jean/az enjoyed playing Queen and her neice visit , wonderful memory. My husband fell asleep LOL BHR, I think it's a man thing , not being tired.. Stay Safe to all, Jerrie   Nice photos Harriet..

Happy May to y'all!  Jerry & I have an anniversary tomorrow.  Forty three years!  Wow!

Glad you are fine Deb from the storms.  Jerry's family in ALA had some damage.  They live in Birmingham and Jasper.  Those storms were awful.  How fortunate we were here.  Just never know what's gonna happen.  Rain is called for today.

I watched some of the wedding.  My neighbor and I reminisced about our trip to England.  We want to go back again.  So I need to start saving my money.

Y'all take care.

Happy Anniversary Sharon! I have been married longer than you too LOL, Geeze I'm getting older, I married very young  however ha! I hope your relatives will be ok, we still didn't go to MS in case of flooding. Our house is near Memphis.
Congrats on a great time together that many Years, your Husband sounds like a winner, mine is also, aren't we lucky..

Dee, you take care my son just had a flooded house at Nashville & it's difficult w/children.. I hope you stay safe and if you leave, better leave early, the ones who didn't in Nashville were drowned in their autos..or roads washed away. Please take care and if they evacuate, leave and My son's house was saved some by sand bags and it still came inside. they had to inspect for mold later..
and threw away all inside furniture, carpet & moved appliances to storage. still it's not a good experience for children, my grandson said"This is not my house" when they came home. poor baby..all is redone now and all new inside, thank God they were saved. Dee you stay safe, "Deb" too!..all take care , Jeri-MS

Dee, that weather you're having is coming to us tomorrow. Glad you are OK.

Sharon- Happy Anniversary. Wow! That is a long time.

Jeri- Glad you are staying away from Mississippi until some of these storms pass. That's a wise decision.

Sherry,I'd like to airmail you some rain. It really gets old after awhile having storms every week.

Love to All & stay safe, everyone.

Hello, Everyone! I did watch the Royal Wedding too but didn't get up early to watch it. I recorded it on the DVR and watched it later on that morning. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't it find it as "magical" and "thrilling" as Prince Charles and Princess Di's wedding was. I had to chuckle a little when Williams was putting the ring on Kate's finger, which he obviously was had a little problem getting it through her knuckle. It reminded me of hubby and my wedding. I did have problem getting his ring through his knuckle and the minister smiled at me and said that it was okay, then he just went on with the rest of the wedding ceremony. Hubby finished putting the ring on his finger later on. :-)
Speaking of which. . . .

Sharon, congrats to you and Jerry on your 43rd anniversary. This is very interesting. Not only that we share birthday month, we also share anniversary month as well. My hubby and I are having our 40th anniversary on the 16th. I have to agree with you on your sentiment. . .WOW!

Harriet, I agree with you about the storms. We certainly are enjoying the sunny days we've been having lately. . .until the storm comes back again. It's definitely getting old.

Take care all and have a great week.

Hi everyone..my name is Ray and I am rather new here..one of my dreams came true Friday night when I got to see Alan in concert at Mohegan Sun..I was just so amazed with his show..I was so in awe watching him grace the stage along with the Strayhorns..when he sang Where Were You..I grabbed my wifes hand and my eyes filled with tears..that song means so much to me..I didn't get to meet Alan that night, but it didn't matter at that point because I was just so thrilled and honored to be seeing my hero onstage...hopefully someday I will get to thank him for everything he has given me through his music...

Ray,
Welcome here! I know what you mean. The first time I heard Alan sing "WWY" I cried and almost lost it.. he really hits hearts with his songs. I have seen him lots of times, and met him but each time I leave wanting more. He is so nice in person , so much a gentleman and is not pretentious at all. I hope you get to meet him someday! we all identify with his Music and he writes so from the heart and we experience the same things he has, at some time in our lives.
So happy you got to see Alan and The Strayhorns and with your wife. Jerrie-MS

Elaine,
That was during the Historic flood before,My son's. I thought I had bored everyone w/this but I was so scared for them.

Harriet,Stay in your basement and I'm hoping it wont be as bad this time for you. You have had enough of that.,.
Dee stay safe and all of you who are affected.

BHR congrats on your Anniversary! That's a long time married but we all seem to be happy with our mates, which is unusual now days.I've been married longer but we married very young ha! I thought you were like my daughters age lol
I must have sounded condesending to you before lol.  BHR , I loved this wedding as they knew one another longer
and Charles was in love with his now Mate, when he married Lady Di. She did a great job w/the boys alone, the marriage
disolved when the children were old enough to remember. I'm happy they remembered their mom. She even brought them here to Disney world in FL before her death..She was a good virtuous girl when she married. The press were harassing her constantly, poor lady..her death was trajic for her boys, but thank God they still pay tribute to her. Kate & William visited her grave earlier before the wedding and her ring was given to Kate. He looks a bit like his Mom. Love the two brothers. They are so opposite seemingly but seem to care for one another.  Never know about those Royals for sure..The Queen looked pretty for her age, and it all went off well. Her dress wasn't as fancy as I expected, but pretty for her.My daughter'
had little flower girls & strange thing was, the outfits looked alike. also the flower ring on the heads & colors dresses etc..

Elaine, I hope your GD will be fine & has a good Dr this time..
Take care all of you & maybe Jean/AZ will be back soon to tell us the Royal time she had, making a memory w/her neice. that was so nice..Take care to all , Dee and all take  care in the storms..God Bless, Jerrie-MS
