Hello everyone on this cold and snowy and windy winter day on February 20th!  Brrrrr.......last night the wind was howling and the trees rustling like crazy.  I thought they were all going to fall over here in Ontario.  Just wanted to let you know I will be going for eye surgery on March 2.  It is laser so hopefully won't be too bad.  The only thing I like to put in my eye is my elbow so I dunno.............say a prayer for me please and thanks........I would like to wish you all that MAY YOUR BEST YESTERDAYS BE YOUR WORSE TOMORROWS AND THAT MAY ALL THAT IS GOOD COME YOUR WAY Smiley

Take care and stay warm!  Gwen

Gwen, good luck with your eye surgery - will keep you in my prayers.
You could send a little of the cold weather down this way.  We were in the upper 70's yesterday and I am not quite ready for it to be that warm yet!!!

Hello, friends. I really am getting better & feeling better. Down to 2 bandaids on my toe & can wear my shoes now. Going to my regular dentist Tuesday to start the process of getting permanent crowns over my implants. The weather here has been nice but it will be getting cooler in a couple of days.

Gwen- Hope all goes well with your eye surgery. Sending prayers.

Jean-AZ- Like you, I am really ready for baseball. Also I am getting better every day. Thanks for your kind words & thanks to all of you.

Kathy- Sorry to hear you are getting more snow but glad you can now stay inside.

Elaine- Generally I've found prices lower at Wal- Mart but better quality merchandise at Target.

JeanB- So your government is shut down over a language issue? I though they spoke Flemish in the North & French in the South. That's what my parents told me when they were over there.

Sherry- We were in the 70's a couple of days ago & it really felt warm. Today we are in the 50's.

Jeri- How nice that you get tweets from Ronnie Dunn. He really has a gift & an instument with his voice. I am mesmerized too.

Sharon- Got my upper bridge cemented back in but had to sit in the chair 1 & 1/2 hours, most of it waiting. Thought I was going to go stir crazy.

GUESS WHAT?  MY NIECE LAURIE,  WHO LIVES IN DOOR COUNTY, WI, CALLED AND SAID, "AUNT JEAN, I'M CALLING TO INVITE YOU TO A WEDDING.." I WAS STUNNED FOR A MOMENT BECAUSE I COULDN'T THINK WHO WOULD BE GETTING MARRIED, AND THEN SHE SAID "WILL AND KATE!" PRINCE WILLIAM AND HIS KATE OF COURSE.  SHE SAID "WE'LL GET UP AT 4AM, WATCH ALL THE FESTIVITIES, TAKE A NAP LATER ON, AND GO OUT TO AN ENGLISH LODGE FOR DINNER".  NOW I ASK YOU, IS THAT A "WEDDING PLANNER" OR WHAT?  AND..I WON'T HAVE TO WEAR A FANCY DRESS AND SHOES THAT HURT, EITHER. WE'LL BE ALL COMFY FRONT ROW CENTER IN ROBES AND SLIPPERS.  WE BOTH LOVE STUFF LIKE THAT, HOPEFULLY A HAPPY GRAND OCCASION.  AND MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, IT WILL BE CHERRY BLOSSOM TIME IN DOOR COUNTY, TOO. ITS TIME FOR SOME LOVELY NEWS FOR A CHANGE, ISN'T IT.   HER DEAR HUSBAND STEVE WILL PROBABLY SLEEP THRU IT ALL, BLESS HIS MALE HEART.  BUT WE WILL HAVE A GRAND "GIRL TIME".  I WILL GET MY TRAVEL PLANS IN ORDER SOON.  AND ANOTHER GREAT AND HAPPY MILESTONE IN MAY, WHEN MY GRANDSON QUINN GRADUATES FROM HIGH SCHOOL, IN SOUTH DAKOTA, AND HEADS FOR COLLEGE.  WHERE DOES THE TIME GO??  THEN..IN SEPTEMBER, GRANDSON JAKE WILL BE GETTING MARRIED TO HIS LADY LIZ.  I WILL SURELY HAVE TO TAKE PLENTY OF VITAMINS!!!
I HOPE YOU EACH AND ALL HAVE SOME HAPPY PLANS IN THE MAKING.  AND KEEP WELL AND WARM EVERY DAY,
jean/az (allalanalways)
Jean/Az , that is lovely of your neice to be so thoughtful. My grand Teens love me so much, and when they sign a card, each says"Love you more" ha! we had plans to go to Nashville since Christmas but the weather has not been good until now, for the car drive I mean..My Twins will be grown soon, they are so cute. we want to travel some when hubby gets feeling better and finally gets all his tests over with.
Harriet, those teeth of yours are going to be quite expensive too, so sorry. My hubby paid, I think it was seven hundred for one tooth. Florida was warm enough today for my air on, haven't even got my lighter clothes out yet ha!Kathy I hope you get out of the snow soon.. and Jean/az I know it's not easy watering all your plants, we haven't had that much rain either recently.Gwen, Prayers for you during your eye surgery.. lasers are not painful but it takes a while afterwards sometimes.
Elaine when you have growing children, Target is great! My daughter calls it Tar-Jay, to sound suave as things are nice there ha!I gree w/Harriet.
It's great to have my husband home but at times, I long for those deployments, but only for one day ha! I can't get much done with him home, men can be messy or maybe it's just mine ha! Love him to pieces and I hope his pancreas problem stays the same and doesn't change, so far, so good. Thank God!
we are about to redo our house inside and out. It's that time again for upkeep. I have to run now, my sister is coming by here tomorrow. Sue, if you are reading this- her cancer is still in remission, she had the test again.God is good!
Take care everyone, pray for a nice safe trip for Alan and the Strayhorns, "Down Under", I just heard Lorrie on Crook and Chase tell all about his Tour from Nashville!! Take Care to all of you, Jerrie-MS !

HI FRIENDS, JUST GOT BACK FROM A TRIP TO WALGREEN'S AND WHILE WAITING FOR A PRESCRIPTION MET AND TALKED TO TWO FOLKS FROM MY HOMETOWN OF MINNEAPOLIS!  ALL GLAD TO BE OUT OF THE SNOW.  WE HAD A GRAND-OLD-CHIN-WAG, DONCHA KNOW.  AS WE ALL SHUFFLED OUT CLUTCHING OUR PRESCRIPTION BAGS, I WONDERED IF ONLY SICK ONES CAME DOWN HERE, OR MAYBE WISE ONES...OR JUST OLD ONES.  ONE FELLOW SAID HE TRADED IN HIS SNOWBLOWER FOR A GOLF CART.  GREAT TRADE, I SAY!  TOO WORRIED TO EVEN VISIT THE WEATHER CHANNEL THIS MORNING, DON'T WANT TO THINK OF MY DEAR ONES DEALING WITH MORE WINTRY WEATHER.  HANG IN THERE, ALL OF YOU, SPRING IS COMING, IT ALWAYS DOES.

JERI, I MUST CONFESS THAT MY "PATIO PLANTS"...INVOLVE JUST ONE, THATS HOW LAZY I AM.  HAD A BUNCH OF THEM BEFORE I MOVED TO THIS COMPLEX, BUT THEY HAVE SO MANY NICE FLOWERING BUSHES ETC, AND LANDSCAPE SO NICELY, I FIGURE LEAVE IT TO THE PRO'S.  MY THUMB HAS NEVER BEEN TERRIBLY GREEN, ANYWAY.  MORE AND MORE BIRDS SHOWING UP, INCLUDING THE DEAR HUMMINGBIRDS.  A FEW STAY AROUND ALL YEAR, BUT OTHERS JOIN THE PARADE ABOUT NOW.  I COULD BIRD WATCH...AND READ, FOREVER.

BE WELL![/b][/size]

Hi all AJ fans,
Let it snow......Let it snow.....no choice that's what it's been doing the last two days.  Jean says spring is coming, I;ll take her word on it.
Elaine, You'll love Target.  Target stores were started in Minnesota!  Only they keep getting larger and larger as they build new ones!
Harriet, hopefully your teeth woes are winding down.
Jerrie, thanks for the wonderful news on your sister's cancer being in remission.  Pray that it remains that way.
My friend with pancreatic cancer is an eighth month survivor.  Keep praying for many more.
It's a strange school year with my principal being put on unrequested leave last month.
Dad is getting stronger every day.  Always worry about my parents when they are in Arizona.  But they have a great support system in their retirement community.
In three weeks, we'll be in Florida for spring break and Jana and Mike's engagement party hosted by Mike's parents at the country club.  Our older daughter will be joining us for a few days so she can attend too.

Take care all,
It's snowing!

Sue, I guess you got all the snow we were expecting.  Yesterday it rained all day long with thunder & lightning in the afternoon.  Everything froze overnight as the temps dropped and today we got some snow in the afternoon.   I really don't like all that freezing ice, so I just stayed inside today.

We're still having spring like weather.  It's windy though and dry.  So we've had too many brush fires.  Now I understand when a fire starts from a power line, but what is with these people who feel they have to burn leaves?

Saw that the daffodils are springing up and also have a few forsythia blooms on my poor pitiful bush.  My windows need cleaning sooooo bad.

I know winter is not over.  If it is, it will be a first, I think.

Jean/AZ, have a wonderful time at the wedding with your niece.  I plan on being there also!

Harriet so glad to hear you are getting better and better.  You'll be getting the cooler temps a day or two before us.  Hasn't the weather been great.  Is it windy there also?

Hello to everyone else.  Not really a lot of news.

JeanB- So your government is shut down over a language issue? I though they spoke Flemish in the North & French in the South. That's what my parents told me when they were over there.

Yes Harriet we do. The Flemish are in the majority. 6,000,000 against 4,000,000. And they want pay longer for the French region. The biggest Flemish politic party want a independent Flemish state. 90° of Belgian citizens don't. I love like it is now... a federale state and kingdom where it is sooo good living.

Gwen, good luck with your eye surgery; My wife had laser-lasik eye surgery more than a year ago. Both eyes at the same time. She's so glad she did it. She went to the eye surgeon for a check up in December and everything was alright.

It's freezing again in Belgium. Brrr. Maybe we got some snow tonight.
Stay warm everyboby

Hi All.  I have not been on the computer lately.  We are having issues with alot of things on it, so my husband has been on it and started it from scratch again.  It is lot all fixed yet, but I thought I would get on here to say a little bit.  It will probably be a little while until I can get on here again.

I hope all is fine.  Happy Belated Birthdays to anyone who has had one in February.

The weather here has not been too bad the last week.  We have had a few mild days, so we have lost a lot of snow.  I think we are expecting more snow on Sunday/Monday.

My thoughts and prayers are to the families that live or have family in New Zealand.  More devastating news.

Well I have to go to work so I better go.  Take care all and talk to you soon.  AnitaMartina

Hi guys......my hubby went and got himself BURSITIS.......bad.  Now I have to play nursemate.  You know I never really did care for nurses.  Did you ever see the movie ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOOS NEST?  Well I have been told I make nurse Ratched seem like a sweetie!  I have alot of health problems so it is hard to be looking after him.  Darn men are like big babies when they are sick....mine is anyways.........sooo I had to get out last night so went to a casino not far from home.  Was sitting trying to relax and what did I hear on the radio at the casino but ISLB........Well the smile that came on my face and there I was singing along and then I felt sooo much better.  I never hear that song on the radio but I don't listen to radio much......always CD's mostly..........So thanks Alan for making my day better and yes I did win a little....

and the sound of a whipperwill........Gwen
