Finally got dug out and went to the office yesterday - it took forever.  The roads are plowed, but not all the lanes are plowed so everything was backed up once I got off the main highway.   Last night on the way home (another long trip) I saw at least 3 crews working on the outside lanes to get rid of all that snow.  The piles of snow are enormous and caution is needed when reaching intersections because you can't see anything.  What a mess, it will take a long time for these huge piles of snow to melt down.
It was really cold yesterday - in the teens, but the sun has been out the last couple of days and that helps to brighten the spirit.
I'm so excited to be reading concert reviews again - it really lifts my winter weary spirit!  Keep writing those reviews - love them!!
Going to our friends house for the Super Bowl on Sunday - I'm rooting for Pittsburgh, because as a long time Bears fan I can't bring myself to root for the Packers.   I'll probably spend more time visiting than actually watching the game.

.

Kathy, Stay safe! Like you, I'm rooting for the Steelers, They sent flowers when my Sister's son died, long ago. Enjoy the Super Bowl! Be careful in the snow traveling to work etc.. & Everyone who's dealing with treacherous Ice conditions too!

I hope the snow causes no roof problems. Kathy be careful and all of you in the snow areas. I hope
Alan & the Band make it fine traveling! God Bless! Take care, Jeri_MS
PS-Elaine, so sorry for your Kelsey's injury. I hope all goes well. Take care in this cold weather..of YOU..also to  Everyone,,
Also-Has anyone heard from Terry recently? I hope you are fine Terry( if you are reading this)
Edited- I saw on the "Sunday Morning" show about the Stadium and they showed it's Artistic inside.Very interesting, so beautiful. Think of all the money involved in this, it is mind boggling.
I think the snow on the roof will be no problem, by game time.

Hello everybody.
Whaw ... that's a lot of snow you got over there !
Hope Alan do not have to cancel concerts.
I haven't to tell much . That mean that all is right with me. So does everybody on the board i read.
Taylor Swift is coming to Belgium next Spring. I don't go because no more seats avaible, only standing places in the middle of yelling youngsters. lol.  Not my cup of tea. haha

Enjoy the Super Bowl and the weekend folks.

Hello, Friends. Just a quick note here. All that snow-Wowza!- all we got was lots of rain & I'm not complaining. We're rooting for the Packers in the Super Bowl. They sure kicked our Falcons' butts in the playoffs & look like a real good team top to bottom.
Alan is having quite an extensive concert tour- will be glad whe he finds a record label.
I am doing well in my recovery but have to have a root canal on Monday & Foot surgery on Thursday for an ingrown toenail. They actually have to go in & change the direction the nail grows. It will be outpatient with local anesthesia- just a blip on the radar screen compared to what I experienced in the Fall.
Love to All.

HAPPY FEBRUARY EVERYONE!!!  ITS A SHORT MONTH, AND ONE STEP CLOSER TO SPRING.  BEEN WATCHING THE GOLF TOURNAMENT OFF AND ON TODAY, OUR FREEZING WEATHER HAS THROWN IT A BIT OFF SCHEDULE, REALLY FRIENDS, IT GOT VERY, VERY CHILLY...BUT AS LONG AS I DON'T HAVE TO SHOVEL ANYTHING I WON'T COMPLAIN, SO MUCH, MUCH WORSE IN OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY, AND I DO HOPE THAT ALL OF YOU SHOVELING AND SHIVERING WILL STAY SAFE AND WARM.
JERRI, YOUR WORDS ARE SO KIND, THIS IS JUST A WONDERFUL CHANCE TO" VISIT" WITH ALL OF YOU
.
I LIKE THE IDEA OF MANY OF YOU STOCKED UP ON PLENTY OF GROCERIES, BOOKS, DVD...ETC.  I AM A DEDICATED HUNKER-DOWNER, MYSELF, ALWAYS FIGURE IF I HAVE A GOOD BOOK OR TWO AT HAND, ALL WILL BE WELL!  I CAN'T YET ENJOY MORNING COFFEE ON THE PATIO, WAY TO CHILLY, IN FACT ALL I CAN DO THE LAST FEW MORNINGS IS UNCOVER MY PLANT OUT THERE I TRY TO KEEP FROM FROSTING.  BUT THAT WILL COME ALONG TOO, ONE OF THESE FINE DAYS.  THE HOME DEPOTS AND SUPERMARKETS ARE DISPLAYING LOTS OF FLOWER PLANTINGS ETC.  ALWAYS SUCH A CHEERFUL SIGHT.

THOUGHT I WOULD JUST SKIP THE SUPER BOWL THIS TIME, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT TO ALL OF YOU WHOSE TEAMS ARE IN IT THIS YEAR.  IT WILL DEPEND ON WHETHER I CAN PERSUADE SOMEONE TO GO SEE "THE KINGS SPEECH" WITH ME AGAIN.  WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW WON'T HURT THEM!

HAVE A GOOD TIME TOMORROW WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO DO!  STAY SAFE AND DRIVE CAREFULLY.

Hello everyone!!  I try and read the boards a few times a week.  I'm not even going to try and reply to everyone's posts.

Sorry for y'all in the stormy weather, wish I could send you some of our sunshine.  The weather here has been very nice.

My sister is doing much better, she is home and has gained 30 pounds (she was down to 90lbs) and gaining strength so they can do surgery.  Thank you all for your prayers for her.

Sara is pregnant again, due around my birthday.  She will be using a high risk doctor this time so hopefully she will not have the same problems she did with the last one.  It's good she found out now as the year anniversary of her losing the last one is next weekend, it should make it a little easier on her.

I was in an accident on 1-11 but thank the good Lord nobody was hurt.  It's the first accident I've ever been in.  It could have been so much worse.  I turned a corner and there was a car headed straight for me, head on.  I tried to go around her on the left as she was already headed for the passenger side of my suburban, but we hit on the passenger side.  She left the scene so I figured I was out of luck to get her information but she came back and said she had fallen asleep, that it was her first accident.  She was pretty shook up but did tell her insurance company it was her fault and that she had fallen asleep.  My suburban has been in the shop since 1-13 but should be ready this week.  I have a brand new Tahoe rental car, but it's still not my suburban.

I'm working a lot more and hoping for some tour dates I can plan some trips for.

Happy Green Bay won today (sorry to those of you rooting for the Steelers)   The quarterback from Green Bay is from Chico, where my son and his fiance live.  He was passed over by all the colleges when he was in high school so he went to the local community college where he was "discovered" by the NFL.  It was nice to see a guy nobody thought was good enough for the NFL make it big.

Hope everyone is doing well, hugs to everyone.  (Jean, isn't it about time for another trip to the US?)

Hi everyone ,well after 7 snow storms, one 29 inches, one 7 inches, a few smaller ones and then a 19 inch one followed by a 1/2 ice storm we are now in freezing temps.
Now for the good I would like to share with AJ fans that are like friends and family and that are so nice and kind. I am going to see ALAN at his concert in Atlantic City.  This is realy big for me, I never thought he would come that close to Staten Island.N.Y..  I am so happy.  I can not believe it.

Terry, I am happy for your Sara.  I am glad you were not hurt in that accident. I used to drive that same car (truck). I loved it.     Dee572 I am glad you got only three inches of snow.   Elaine I guess Georgie will love those 8 inches.
JeanB she is not my cup ot tea either. I hope ALAN comes close enough to you so you can go and see him.  Take Care everyone and stay warm and safe. Hugs nelle      Good luck Harriet at the foot doctor and the dentist.  HUGS nelle

BBRRR - it's cold out!  After more snow on Monday, we have settled into another cold spell.  Highs tonight range from -10 to 0.  It's only supposed to be about 10F today.  I went to the office yesterday and thank goodness don't have to go out today.
Teri - glad to see you posting.  Happy news about Sara.  Sorry to hear about your accident and glad that no one was hurt.
Nelle - so happy to you get to see Alan again.  Will be waiting for your review!
JeanAZ - I'm real good at hunkering down in this cold weather.  I agree, a good book and cup of tea and I'm all set.

Stay warm & safe everyone!
