Hey all you lucky Canadians - Here's hoping the weather cooperates at each venue and you all get to enjoy the MOST HANDSOME country music suoertar on the planet. (Hope he left his razor at home...)

Alan and Strayhorns and crew - be safe up there and come home to us and set a schedule that includes Toledo or a close by venue, will ya?  I need to plan some stuff and I am waiting on your tour.... C'mon handsome - post it for me - please?

I'm a Canadian too from way back as a kid in Toronto.  But now I'm
awaiting big handsome Alan and the Strayhorns to let us have some of
that wonderful warm music in Windsor or at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
I'm waiting and watching and hope he'll be fine on his trip to Australia and
Canada.

I know you're waiting in Toledo.  I hope he'll go there for you too, and
come to Michigan for me.  Let's wish really hard!!!!!!!!!!

Wellllllll - IF he would be so kind to come to Toledo and then the Palace and/or DTE (the old Pine Knob) I would have to go to both or all 3 - YIKES!   better start saving my pennies!   I kind of like it when I get to see him more than once spaced out tho - less time bewteen fixes that way....

The reason I ask for Casino Windsor or the Palace is that I need an
elevator.  Pine Knob  (DTE) takes a wheel chair and much walking for whomever comes
with me so I like the places with the elevators and then I am not such a
burden on my daughters who is are kind to take me.  They love Alan also
so it's a big treat for her.  Putting up with your old mom isn't always easy. One of
the girls comes in from CT to take me sometimes.

We're praying for you, Gwen, and others that are supposed to see him this week.  Hope the storm isn't as bad as predicted for the travelers.  Pray that all travelers are safe.  Leslie

I was talking to the venue in Oshawa and they say the storm is supposed to start around 9 p.m in the Sudbury area and it is at least an 8 hour drivefrom there to Oshawa with those big trucks so it is going to depend.  Guess we'll know by late tonight if Oshawa is cancelled.

This is Wednesday morning 7am.  I live about 15 minutes away from the GM Center in Oshawa. It looks like we did not get all the snow they predicted through the night.  I know we are expecting more through the day today.  But so far we are not getting as much as they first predicted, so I think we will be able to see Alan tonight. They were saying that we might have a snow day at work today, but I called the emergency line and all is a go. So it can't be that bad.  I took the day off today anyways because I had alot of things to do, so it doesn't really matter to me.  I don't know about other areas in Southern Ontario, especially on the west side of Toronto, they might be getting more.

Gwen, I don't know who mentioned to you that Sudbury is 8 hours away, but it is only 5 hours away.  My step daughter lives in Val Therese.  That is about 20 minutes north of Sudbury and it usually takes us about 5-1/2 hours to get there.  But with this weather it might take him a little longer.  I know Sudbury wasn't getting this storm, it looks like it goes as far as Parry Sound.  So he could be in it for at least half of his trip.  Travel safely today Gwen and all others who are coming to the show in Oshawa.  See you all tonight.  Alan and his crew are probably already down here staying somewhere.

Today it is sunny and it stopped snowing about 8:00 and the wind has died down.  Last night, it was ugly, snow, wind.  We only got about 6-8 inches in my area, will vary from 8-14 in the area.  Plows had a hard time keeping up, but should be able to get to most, if not all, of the streets today.  All schools and some businesses closed for the day today, so there was little to no traffic to bother the plows.  Hope it just passed everyone and the concerts and go on as planned, sounds like they will.   That Alan Jackson, must have some kind of lucky charm that he carries, always seems to avoid the bad weather.  Hope it continues.  Leslie
