Thanks, January- I just read this article. I would sure love to see Alan on Toby's label but I've heard he might be interested in Zac Brown Band's label- don't know if it is true or not. Rumors always fly about things like this. I'm sure there is a label that would love to have Alan.

I'm just glad he left Arista. I have felt for a long time that they were no longer interested in supporting him. Another label will promote him with some enthusiasm. I think he was pretty bored with Arista.

I am sure he has something in the works or he wouldn't have left Arista but I really hope it is a bigger label and not Zac Brown's - I would like to see him go with somebody who believes in him and will get him out here - it scares me that he can't get radio play. I would really like to see some new work - he needs to get some stuff out there that is true to himself but also something that gels with the current style. Everyone has to be open to change. I have been seeing pictures from long ago when he seemed so happy - big real smiles- you don't see that anymore. Hoping Nancy Russell can bring back the enthusiastic guy we all fell in love with. The Boot offers and ineteresting thought - how about ACR? but I had heard he closed that - not known for sure - i have thought for years he should go off on his own. http://www.theboot.com/2011/01/20/alan-jackson-leaves-arista/

I wouldn't attempt to say what Alan will do, but I know it will be the right decision for his career. He was friends w/K.Siegal and probably still is..Perhaps Alan just wants to change up, after having a huge run at success w/Arista. There could be limits on what he could do & how he wants them done. Contracts are weird from that far back. He will know what he wants and decide. He is wrinting more Songs , now that sounds great!
Quote"-Referring to it as "an amicable parting," the label issued a written statement saying, "Sony Music Nashville wishes to thank Alan Jackson for their long association and the many hit records achieved as a result of that association."UnQuote Sounds like Everyone was ok with what happened. Alan sure made a lot of money for them, and much success for himself.
Some stations wont play a Singers music, if they have to pay to play it.. CMT could be one.. I know Taylors', stations do not have to pay to play her music.. must be a contract deal..
I'm just looking forward to what Alan is writing now..and perhaps he will do what he feels relaxed to try.. I adore his Love Songs and anything he writes..I wish & hope He writes Songs with more heart, and good music..like always. Get a larger Fan Base and going international will do this.. I'm sure Alan Jackson knows exactly what he wants to do, Anyone in the business for 20 years knows. he has staying power.
Let's wait and find out from Alan what his plans are. I would not want to say anything bad about those who are possibly his friends still. A Lot of Singers are changing Labels now, so Alan isn't the only one..
Alan has his own record co. I thought also. Perhaps Zac Brown Band plans to do more work w/Alan, who knows. they are very talented, the Band is awesome. I trust Alan's judgement to do the right thing for his career." He Has "Miles to Go Before He Sleeps." Jerrie-MS

When I received a notice this morning from 99.1WQIK saying Alan Jackson Gets Dumped I went balistic. They have since reported a nicer version. We all knew there would probably be a change. Keith S. left Arista a couple of years ago and he still continues to work with Alan and to hear that Alan is writing and working on a new CD makes me one happy camper. I am sure Alan has been contemplating his options for some time because he is a brilliant man. Sorry, but I sure do not want Alan to go to Toby Keith's label. Do not know the status of ACR. Whatever Alan does I am sure it will be wonderful and we will continue to support him 110%.

I truly do not believe Alan got dumped - I think he left there knowing that they no longer supported him. It is time for a change and I am sure he will make a decent decision but I like the idea of Toby if ACR is indeed closed. Toby has energy, clout and vision. Alan needs to get back on the horse or he is going to be a Doug Stone, a Randy Travis -YUCK!!! He needs to be back on the radio and to be managed by people who can pick the songs that sell and quite frankly whoever was in charge did a poor job of that with Good Time and Freight Train. I love this guy, I want to hear him and see him and I want him to be back on top where he belongs and I don't care who gets him there.

I think change will be good for Alan, his music, and us the fans. I was so happy to hear he was writing new songs for his new album. I can't wait to see what he has coming out in the future. We know he didn't get dumped...I'm sure he can pick and choose where he wants to go. No matter what, he will stay true to himself and real country music.

This was on an Atlanta Radio Station Website today:
They sold 50 million albums together. They charted 35 # 1 hits…and earned countless awards – but it’s over. Alan Jackson and his longtime label, Arista Nashville have parted ways. Don’t jump to conclusions, though…Alan IS NOT retiring! He's reportedly in talks with three different labels who are all competing to add him to their roster.

Not lets not jump to conclusions.......unfortunately I found this out yesterday and did not sleep well last night being "all worried" about Alan......If that is not a real fan., I don't know what is!!!! I am sure he knows what he's doing. We all love you Alan and are behind you 100%. You deserve to have the BEST people working with you as you are the BEST! Can't wait for a new CD. YEE HAw!!!!
