License plate stolen off truck registered to country singer

By Cindy Swirko & Karen Voyles

Published: Wednesday, January 12, 2011

Country singer Alan Jackson became the victim of a crime in Gainesville
 last week even though he was not in town (at least not that we know of).

Sometime between 8 p.m. on Jan. 7 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 8, someone removed the
 Tennessee license plate from a 2010 Dodge pickup registered to Jackson.
The man who drove the truck to Florida, William Jones, told Alachua County
 deputies that he is the primary driver of Jackson’s truck. Jones said he parked
the truck outside the Country Inn and Suites at 4015 SW 43rd St., where he s
tayed overnight while he was in the Gainesville area.

Beth Thanks,

If this was in Florida, just lucky  not to have the whole truck stolen. seriously in some crime areas.

Gainsville, Country Inn is most likely near the University of Florida. crooks often steal plates off autos and put them on stolen ones to not be spotted, but they picked the wrong truck with "Alan celebrity" being owner..stupid crooks..
University Of Florida ----The Gators;
This is where all the kids around here went to school, not far away, on the back roads. Great school, has Shands
Hospital there. a great Teaching Hospital that very ill people go to..My friend with lupus goes there, any serious illness.
My daughter's hubby went there, and all her boyfriends before him ha!( maybe it was an AJ person who liked him, you know how they used to take things out of the Elvis home yard)for a souvenir, crazy kids..

They better leave AJ's Truck alone.. Jerrie-MS  & Florida
