Anita.....we are leaving Kitchener/Waterloo  early early just in case.......do you know if there are any decent places to eat around the area or on the way closer to Oshawa that we might be not too far from.  Maybe a nice family restaurant.  We love fish & chips or a nice burger?Huh?

Thanks............Alan's #1 fan.....oops thats you .....okay Alan's #2 fan.....oops thats Gayle  ..OKAYWHERE DO I FIT IN?

Hi Gwen,  There is Swiss Chalet, that is  near the 401 at Stevenson Rd. cutoff in Oshawa.   That is a about  7 miles away from the GM CEntre.  There is a couple of places that are walking distances from the GM Centre.  One is called Avanti's. There is pizza, pasta & sandwiches. Owned by Italians.  There is a place called Rileys......  I like it there.  It is more like a pub, but very nice.  The food is very reasonably priced.  I believe you can get burgers and fish & chips there.  I have never had that there so I can tell you how good it would be.  I go there for lunch alot when I am at work.  I usually have their wraps and they are great.  Also,  in Whitby by the 401 (north side) at the Thickson Rd exit., there is alot of restaurants by the AMC Theatre.   Lonestar, Milestones, Jack Astor, Denny's  Shoeless Joes, & Montanas.  I hope this helps.

Gwen,  I just check the weather report for next Wednesday.  It looks like Kitchener and Oshawa are expecting on Tuesday  2-5cm and on Wednesday 10+cms.  So make sure you leave in plenty of time.  Who knows, the weather report could change by then.

DizzyDean.  That is what I am hoping.  I am looking so forward to seeing him.  I hope his travel plans don't get delayed.  The day before he comes to Oshawa, he is in Sudbury, which is 5 hours north of us.  They usually get more snow than we do.  So hopefully everything will be on time and AJ and his crew travel safely.

Crossing my fingers and saying prayers that you guys get your concert. Maybe the weather will stay down this way - they are saying we are going to get anywhere from 10-15 inches of snow Tuesday into Wednesday - on top of snow and ice on Tuesday with it not really ending until Thursday. One nice thing about being self-employed - we aren't scheduling Wednesday and Thursday.  They say this is a really big storm all across the midwest heading east but I didn't see how north it was tracking.

Stay safe, Anita, Gwen and Carol and anyone else going.  Stay safe Alan and guys and crew!

Thanks for your prayers January.  It looks like Tuesday in Sudbury, Ontario the weather is suppose to be okay.  Just cold.  They don't get snow until Thursday.  So I don't think they are getting part of the storm  that you & I will be getting .  I just hope the crew and Alan travel safely and the concert will be on schedule.  I only have a fifteen minute drive to the GM Centre, so that isn't too far.
