Thanks for the link Somebody; "My Home's Alabama" ... what a great song. I never hear it before. Wrote Alan this song?

Thank you Somebody.  Love Alan and The Strayhorns on this song.   Saw it when they did it live on the tribute to Alabama.
Was able to get it loaded onto my iPod.   Thanks again and I can now go to this link to hear it again.  Kudos...

Was this a Tribute to Alabama? , it couldn't be that long ago.  Alan looks young like this now. He sings and the band is the same now too. It has to be not way back too far.
The guitar is the one that Denise gave Alan isn't it?
I'm confused, this doesn't sound like Alan long ago, much better, He improves with age..

If anyone knows the time, please post.
Thanks for posting this link..

That was awesome. I kinda remember seeing that a long time ago. Wasn't it a tribute or something for the group Alabama? I do wonder if he wrote it...sounds like his stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Brenda, wasn't this an Alabama Song? they seemed very honored to hear Alan sing it . Great song!

The entire video's, I have most of Alan old Songs but a few I had missed, and enjoyed the Video's!

Thanks!
Jerrie-MS
PS- Just realized this had to be after Tom Rutledge and the others in the band are gone which was 2004 or 2002.
Lordy! How time flies when you're having Fun! I think it was 2004, Jax and then Atlanta was the last time they were all together. The Strayhorns seems complete now and I love each and every one of the band. Some of the Best Guys!

Yes, it was a tribute program to Alabama.  Seems like it was when they were winding down and ending their career as the group.   Lots of artists performed that night.   Do not have the taped program with me but I am thinking it was about the same year that Alan did the Sea Ray on the lake show.    He said at the time that he did this song a lot when he was first starting out with his band.   Yes, Alabama seems so pleased.  I was also.   Always pleased with everything Alan does and yes I also feel Alan does get better and better.                     Marian
