I've seen this discussed on here before but was just wondering if the reason for no more meet and greats was ever addressed. I am such a big Alan fan and have never had the pleasure of meeting him. I was just wondering if there will ever be an opportunity at all for me to meet him. I know it must be a time consuming process greeting a bunch of fans and then having to put on a big show.  I didn't know if the fan club had ever addressed this. I'm still a die hard fan and will continue to be no matter what. But I would love to meet the man who reminds me so much of my dad and give him a hug!  Lol.

I don't know the reason that the meet and greets were discontinued but Alan has a tough schedule to fulfill and maybe, after 25 years of so many obligations and autographs after shows, he decided that was enough.  I'm praying the day will come when I too will meet him but I'm sure it is a good reason for stopping it.

Have you noticed that fans are more rowdy lately?  My wheel chair almost got knocked over at the last show.  Maybe the meet and greet fans aren't so great either.  I will NEVER stop going to Alan's shows in my area.  He is my only Country star who's shows I attend but I must have an elevator for my disability.  Don't blame Alan till you find out the true reason.  We may never know.  He does everything he can for his fans.  Try to give him a break.
I miss him already and saw him September 5th.  I simply LOVE HIM!

Be patient.  Who knows what's up his sleeve next?Huh

I'm not sure if this is the answer.....but after 20 years, I finally got to meet him last year.  I was shocked to count the amount of other people at the meet and greet!  I counted about 75!  I was sooo sad, cos I knew this meant I would only get a couple of seconds with him!  Also, who were all of these other people anyways?  Radio stations? Contest winners?
I felt really sorry for Alan.  It seemed to take forever and truthfully, most of the people waiting, seemed to care less.  They were more interested in when they would be able to buy another beer!  I kept wondering how many others in line were getting their dream of a lifetime like me.  I wished there could only be fan club members here.  Really true fans who felt the way I did.  Don't think there were.  Maybe he could limit it?  Because 75 was just too much!

Wow, you sure said it all.  I've never had the pleasure of a meet and greet and probably never will. Your description is probably the reason why they stopped it.  Those like you and I who would die for that chance to meet this most talented star and would feel like teenagers loving and treasuring it forever, are hampered by those who take it all for granted and have a " care less" attitude toward meet and greets.

My world would be complete if I should ever get to do that.  I did get a green Screen picture as a VIP at the Windsor Casino on September 5, 2014 and you would think I was in Alan's living room.  I display that picture everywhere and sent it to every friend and family member I could think of.  It make me so proud that I even could pretend to be near Alan.

You have a very bright way of describing your experience.  I am so glad you got your wish.

I'm so happy y'all got your meet & greets. I never have. But yes, I have noticed how rowdy the concerts have gotten in the past few years. It's a shame. It makes me sick.

Perhaps Alan's Music is drawing the Younger crowd and that is Great for him.
Sorry to hear that some of you I have talked to here, has never got a M&G. Do not give up...
Alan's Fans are very devoted and he is the REAL DEAL.

My MG came at the most wonderful time.I took my Sister & her Husband with us. She lived near Alan's Home in GA.
and I thought if she says "That's the way to Alan Jackson's home" One More time, I would find out who this Guy is.

We had driven back to MS, as My Mother was critically ill. I told my Husband , if we get a Email with a M&G how in the world will we go, it way out in the Country..He said "I Have an Idea, lets take our Laptop Computer and we
can get it printed at the library there. Never dreaming I would get one, I had been a Fan for Years , but God Blessed me with one and I almost could not believe it..I was crying , happy Tears & so Blessed.

Near our Country Home..He looked so wonderful, even better in person.we talked & had a photo made, but I wish Alan knew that was the same time my  dear Mother Died. Meeting him, gave me so much Comfort. It was a
Twelve hour Drive, but One of the Best Days Of My life.I even got to say hello to "Roger" he is super nice too!
Alan is so nice in person and Keep the Faith, You might get lucky like me. Bless You, Jerrie (Hometown MS)
