Hi to all AJ fans..
It's a wonderful October day in Minnesota.  The pictures from down under look wonderful.  Love to go there some day.  School keeps me very busy.  Conferences next week.  This weekend with my Mom and sisters in Chicago.
Saw Alan this summer at the Iowa State Fair.....  seats were a huge disappointment.
Hope all is well.

Sue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How are you! I have missed you so much and so happy you got to see Alan.
I even missed Alan when he was in Melbourne here & lost the money, due to being ill w/asthma. I was so
disappointed.
I hope you and your sweet daughter are well, also your husband whom I haven't met. Great to touch base with you and maybe someday we will run into you again, at an Alan Jackson Concert. I ordered the new
CD of Alan's "Bluegrass", it sounds great! Better travel and not put it off, like we did, now we both can't travel much. Not to Australia but I would Love to! You take care Sue, Hugs, Jerrie from MS
PS- MY Son and his Family were just here to visit from Nashville, it was Great! Smiley

Hi Dizzy! not to worry. the storm that might give  some rain is falling apart..My son was just here from Nashville and they were in some rain going back..not bad  however..Got to see my Grands , they are so sweet and beautiful. grown so tall & we may see them for the Holidays at the Gaylord.

presently I'm in rehab soon w/my antibiotic severe drug reaction.I seem to be allergic to everything.
still trying to walk better & get stronger.Asthma acting up . I hope you and mazzie are doing well.
As you said , we can't worry about the storms , just pray.Take care, you and your Sis!
Everyone stay safe!Jeri

Hello Jean, Jerrie, Harriet, Dizzy, Sue, Sharon, BHR, Beth, Elaine, Ray and all dear AJ friends !
It's a long time ago since I was on the board. Just for read, not for posting. In the moment I have not enough time to seat at the computer, so I use the ALAN Mobile App.
I hope everything is fine with you and yours.
The autumn has arrived here in Switzerland. It's cold, wet and foggy. I should prepare my garden for the winter. But the weather is not pleasant to work outside. Sad
I had a great year. I was at two shows of Alan and I had a Meet & Greet. This special moment will be unforgettable for me ! He is really a awesome man !
I hope so, I will find time again next year to travel to the United States and can see Alan again at a show. Unfortunately he never comes to Switzerland.  Cry
And now I'm waiting for my Bluegrass package for over two weeks. Seems a long way over the ocean ! Can't wait.
Greetings from Switzerland and take care everyone.  Kiss

Yes, Alan is so humble, sweet and wonderful !!!! Wow.....!!!

I got my Bluegrass package today. Great Album. I love these songs.
I was sitting in my old Chevy immediately. Volume turned up and drove around the area.
It was a cool feeling !!! Wink

Have a good time Jeri.

Susanne, hello to you too and thanks for remembering me. This is also my first time to post in this new website's forum. My family has  just dealt with some personal matters, one of which was very unexpected. Our weather has not been too bad, some rain but mostly sunny, so far. It has started to cool down a bit at night but still quite warm during the day.

Sue, thanks for starting the October monthly thread and good to hear from you again. You've been missed.

Jeri, sorry to hear you're having asthma again. Hope you're feeling better. I'm feeling ashame for still not having answered your PM. Please forgive me. I'll try and do it soon.

Harriet, missing you here. Hope you're doing fine.

Well, the last two weeks has been one of those whatever is going to go wrong has gone wrong week for us. Among other things, we had another leakage problem in our apartment. . .the 4th one in as may years. It's no longer getting old. . .it's old and we're tired of it. Hubby and I are making plans now of buying a house within the next year and move out of here.

I'm loving the bluegrass album also(nice videos to go with it too). I would admit that the first time I listened to it, it sounded a little bit strange to me hearing Alan singing bluegrass songs being used to listening to him singing country songs. But I am enjoying it very much, though. I've always thought that Alan is a natural with bluegrass music. Kudos, Alan!!!

Hello to everyone here and welcome to the new posters!

BHR

Hi Y'all!
Good to hear from you Suzanne, also Dizzy, Jeri, Sue, and BHR!

I went up to Niagara Falls, ON the week of Labor Day.  My first time there and it was beautiful.  I see that Alan is going to be at the Casino in January.  No chance for me to go unless I win the lottery and money is no object!  LOL!

My husband has had some health problems, but he is better.  His one remaining sister passed away the 18th of September.  So we had a trip over to Birmingham.  It seems like one thing after another.  Jeri, I'm like you now, don't travel like I did.  Glad I did go see Alan for a few years.  I miss that.

I like the new Bluegrass Album and have bought several for Christmas presents.  Sure hope the people I bought them for appreciate it.

Y'all have a great Wednesday.

Sharron,

I recently missed my Church's 170th Church Anniversary, due to not being able to travel. Things can come up fast.I sent All my family History and they wrote it in the Book, so I'm grateful for that. My Dad was an Elder all my Life and I was Church secretary until I married. They sent me a T shirt about it, so I'm happy w/that. Five Years we will have another one..My Grandmother's Great, Great Great Grandfather est. this Church. My membership is still there. In the Military, we went on base a lot and I saw no need to change it. Each Family donated a Stained Glass Window and now it reflects all our Family. it's Country.

Sharron, so sorry about your Husband's Sister's passing. My condolences. My Brother In Law is more like a Brother to me, so I'm sure you were very close too.I know what you mean , My sister recently had surgery and her cancer is returned. Since you and I seem to be the "Church Ladies" hehe Please say a prayer for her.
Love Alan's -Bluegrass Album- I have played it today, what a Great idea for gifts. I gave "hubby's"
relative from Sweden an apron and the cookbook, He loved it, as he cooks a lot! They loved Alan CD too!I hope to see Alan when I can , I hope it's not too long away. Take care all of you AJ Fans ! Jeri Smiley
PS-BHR , I hope your dilemma w/your Apt is soon over for you.Hon , not to worry about answering my PM, it's ok. Sounds like you have been busy, like all of us have.Sharon, I hope your husband improves. Mine is doing better now also.

Hi to all the great AJ fans.  It has been awhile since I posted on here.  Just life is so busy and no time to be on here.  I hope everything is well with all of you.  I see some of you have had health issues.  It is nice to see some familiar names.  Elaine, JeriMS, BHR, Sharon.  I haven't seen Alan lately.  He is coming to Niagara Falls, Ontario in January.  But I am not going as it is 2 hours away and in the middle of January.  Weather can be iffy at that time of year. Also the price of $180. seems to be alot of money to spend and then you can't go because of the weather.  I hope he will come closer to my town.
Today my siblings and families are getting together for our Thanksgiving dinner.  Look forward to the turkey dinner and getting together with everyone.  We have had a beautiful autumn so far. Dry and warm. Expecting rain tomorrow.
At first, I was not sure if I liked Alan's bluegrass CD.  But the more I listened to it, the more I am loving it now.  He can't go wrong.
Talk soon.  Anita
