From time to time some of us posts interesting Alan and, in general, country music pertinent bylines by the well known journalist in the country music industry on cmt.com, Chet Flippo. His column was called, NASHVILLE SKYLINE. Sadly, Chet passed away yesterday morning (6/19) after a long illness, according to CMT. I have always enjoyed reading his column though I don't necessarily agree with all of his opinions. I will surely miss reading Nashville Skyline just as surely Chet will be missed by many. He was 69. Rest in peace, Chet. Thoughts and prayers to his family and many friends as they mourn his death.

BHR,
Having read this on my account, I was so shocked. I offer my deepest Sympathy to the Family of Mr. Chet Flippo and
those who knew him. He recognized the talent Alan had and often wrote about him.I'm sure Alan feels the loss.

Mr Chet Flippo, veteran music writer, editor knew "Alan Jackson could carry  The Torch For Country Music", he knew the History of the Music . I enjoyed his readings and he shall be missed.God Bless, Jeri from MS
