Smiley My husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandson attended the concert in Pensacola last night.  This was probably the best concert as I had more of my family with me.  We arrived a little after Lauren Alaina had started.  We were on the floor, right in the center on the 4th row....very awesome seats.  We settled in and watched/listened to Lauren Alaina.
My precious little grandson (who will turn 3 on Monday) was being held by his grandpa and was waving at Lauren.  The next thing we know she wants him up on stage with her.  We hand him over to the man in front of us and he is
lifted onto stage and Lauren is holding him.  The civic center actually got quiet and my little grandson waved and said,
"hi", then he said, "hi momma" or "hi mommy".  Lauren held him for a while and then gave him a kiss on the cheek and sent him back to us.
This was so exciting and unexpected for us.  Lauren put on a good show.  She is a very talented and pretty young lady.
Once Lauren was finished my husband and I made our way to the left side of the stage where we were escorted back to meet Alan.  I had won a "meet and greet" after trying many times.  They had a tent set up outside.  We finally made our way into the tent and got to set eyes on Alan.
He came up to me and shook my hand and introduced himself.  I told him that my husband and I have been all over the country to his concerts.  He then asked, "where are ya'll from?"  I said, "we're from Pensacola".  The photographer took our picture.  He told us to have a good time and then we made our way back to our seats.  It wasn't long before they played "Gone Country" and out came Alan.  The crowd and ourselves were very excited and up on our feet singing along.  My little grandson clapped too and watched in amazement.  He sang all of our favorite songs.  He seemed to be enjoying himself as much as the crowd was.  My grandson fell asleep, but woke up when he sang "Chattahoochee".  They even put my grandson up on the jumbo tron when he sang "Little Bitty".  We all had a great time and can't wait to do it again.  This will be a night I will never forget and as for my little grandson, "maybe when he's older he'll reach back in his file and pull out that old memory and think of me and smile"!  .

My friend and I were on the 3rd row to the left. Alan did wonderful, but he seemed to be off last night as he was sweating more than usual and had to sit a couple of times. We were thinking he might have not been feeling well. He usually walks the stage more and starts from one end and goes to the other during the encore signing tshirts etc. He only did about half this time. And it was the first time I had seen his manger come on stage and stand to the side waiting on him to come off. Both before and after the encore. I hope he is feeling better if he was sick last night. He still did a wonderful job singing tho!!!

Usually after the show Monty and Roger come out on the sidelines and talk to fans. The venue was running us off as fast as possible lol I still got my hug in to Monty tho.

Lower I loved it when Lauren pulled your grandson up there I thought it was so sweet!

Your grandson is too cute! I loved the attention Lauren and Alan showed him. I was at the end on the 4th row during Laurens set and stood in front of the stage during Alans. He did seem tired towards the end. My husband was holding his Alabama hat up while he was signing and he got to it and turned around and went the other way! lol.. We joked that the "Georgia boy" didnt want to sign a Alabama hat. It was a great show though! I left with 2 picks and a set list. My first time seeing Alan and I wasn't disappointed at all!

Pensacola was an awesome concert! Meet n greet was even better!  I was actually backstage when they pulled the little boy onstage w/Lauren, but did see him on top of (I guess was) his dad's shoulders several times afterwards and on the jumbo screen during Little Bitty! We too have traveled all over for YEARS following Alan.  MY first time seeing him ever was his first time performing @ the Hank Williams memorial concert (Georgiana). He sang 'Here In The Real World' (1990)and introduced it then as his 1st released single. No one had even heard of him much at that time...weeks later that changed. Next you heard "Wanted', 'Chasin That Neon Rainbow', and MORE... look at him today...WOW. An amazing artist to say the least.

Thanks for sharing your stories/memories. The grandson story is awesome, especially since I have 5 grandsons. I am glad y'all had a great time. Wish I could have been there. I hope for a meet & greet someday. I hope Alan wasn't sick. But if he was, I pray he fees better now. Take care y'all.

When do they usually notify you about the meet & greets?  is it a week or just a few days before the concert?
