Hello A.J. friends,

It is 13 years today that I had my breast cancer surgury.  I had a mastectomy at 36 years old.  This was followed by chemotherapy and radiation.  Today I am happy and sad.  Very emotional.  For anyone with loved ones suffering from this terrible disease, I am proof that we can survive it as it was way back on October 5, 1998 that I thought it was all over for me.  So please everyone think positive.  God Bless and thank you for letting me share this with you all Smiley

Gwen,
You are Indeed a Cancer survivor, I thank you for posting this. You don't realize how much your sharing this
means to me. I will show this to My sister and it will give her more HOPE! She is a b cancer survivor after, radiation
and two checkups later. It made me feel better to read this and how courageous you are. Another well known here in this Forum is also a Cancer survivor, but I wont violate her trust by telling here.Early detection, we all know really helps. be
active, each one of us managing our own care and checkups. My sister's was in an early stage, only because she asked for the best test to find it, not depending on a mamogram.she knew there had been a change. I do believe in early detection.Hers was harmone related, so her Dr took her off all harmone's.
Thanks for sharing your experience. This gives HOPE! I'm so proud for you Gwen!
God Bless You, Jeri
