FRIENDS, BEEN AWHILE I KNOW...JUST RETURNED 2 DAYS AGO FROM A TRIP TO SD FOR GRANDSON QUINN'S HI SCHOOL GRADUATION...BEST OF TIMES AND WORST OF TIMES,,,NOW MY SON CURT AND HIS WIFE KIM'S NEW HOME IS IN GREAT DANGER OF BEING LOST TO THE FLOODING ON THE MISSOURI RIVER BETWEEN PIERRE AND FT. PIERRE.  JUST BUILT THEIR DREAM HOME...BEEN IN IT ABOUT 4-5 MONTHS, ITS TRULY BEAUTIFUL. THEY HAVE SAND-BAGGED AND BUILT LEVEES, WE EMPTIED OUT THE HOUSE OF EVERYTHING, WITH THE HELP OF KIND PEOPLE WHO JUST WALK IN THE DOOR AND SAY "WE'RE HERE TO HELP", STRANGERS, NEIGHBORS (WHO WE GO TO HELP THEM, TOO), JUST SUCH GOOD PEOPLE.  I CAME HOME THURS NIGHT PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY EXHAUSTED, BUT I'LL GET RESTED UP OK.  MESSAGE ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE THAT MY SISTER IN LAW (83YRS) FELL AND BROKE HER PELVIS, BUT I TALKED TO HER (SHE LIVES IN FT. SMITH, AR) AND SHE SOUNDS STRONG AND READY FOR REHAB.  WE ARE A TOUGH BUNCH OF "OLD BROADS."  PLEASE, DEAR FRIENDS OFFER A PRAYER NOT JUST FOR MY DEAR, DEAR SON AND FAMILY, BUT FOR ALL THOSE SO AFFECTED BY ALL THE TRAGEDIES LATELY.  THANK YOU!!!

My heart goes out to everyone affected by all the storms. Indiana was hit hard this past week, but fortunately no deaths.

I got up at 4am and watched the Royal Wedding. I have a special attachment to England as my mother was born and raised there. My dad was in the U.S. Air Force stationed in England where he met and married my mother. He was 21 and she was 16.  Both my sisters and my oldest brother were born there, in Warrington, Orford, Cheshire, England, many years ago.  I lost my mother to breast cancer in 2002 and visited her twin in Warrington, England in 2005. It was a great trip, very emotional, but memorable. My aunt, the twin, still lives in the same house my mother and her family grew up in. I slept in my mother's old room. I will never forget it. It was like walking back in time there...then we took the train to London, which was completely different, but I loved it there too. I too hope to go back someday.

Happy Anniversary. Our 39th fast approaches next month. Unbelievable. I too married young.

I hope June is better for everyone weather wise. Take care.

Also want to send up prayers for Jean's son & all those affected by the floods & tornadoes.

Brenda, my ancesters came from England in thr 1600's. I have a great aunt that traced our ancestry. I have always loved that country & remember watching the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth in the 1950's. Watched the Royal Wedding too- what a beautiful couple Will & Kate make. Got to go to London in 1990 & loved it.
So sorry you lost your Mom.

Jeri ms are you planning on going to you sons party it really sound good and
it is so wonderful how people come together at times like this when help is so much in need..I hope you have a good trip we have decided on going to Nashville a little later Mazie has been having a problem from a operation she had and maybe after this last stint she had everything will be good..she is feeling much better now...We thought maybe if Alan put out a new single he would be on the
Opry and we could go and see him there..Because if he was only going to sing part of one song at Fan Fair we would see more if we waited for the Opry..

FRIENDS, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND CONCERN FOR THE FLOODS ALONG THE MISSOURI RIVER IN PIERRE/FT PIERRE SD, AND THE IMPACT ON MY SON'S HOUSE.  WE CAN ONLY WAIT, BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK HOPEFUL, I AM SO GLAD I TOOK SO MANY PICTURES WHILE I WAS THERE. THEIR DREAM HOME.

MY GOODNESS, AREN'T MY TWINS HAVING A STRUGGLE THIS SEASON, I HAVE TRIED ALL THE MANAGING SKILLS I HAVE TO TURN THEIR LUCK AROUND, BUT I GUESS IT IS JUST ONE OF THOSE SEASONS THAT COME ALONG EVERY SO OFTEN, SORT OF SORTS OUT THE REAL FOREVER FANS FROM THE ONLY GOOD TIMERS!  SO MANY INJURIES TO KEY PLAYERS, AND I WATCH THE YOUNGSTER FILL-INS MAKE TOO MANY ERRORS.  BUT I'M WITH "MY BOYS" THRU THICK AND THIN.

WASN'T THE ROYAL WEDDING A JOY??  I WAS IN WISCONSIN AT MY NIECE'S FOR IT, GOT UP AT ONE IN THE A.,M BECAUSE I WAS STILL ON "ARIZONA TIME" TWO HOURS BEHIND THEM.  WOKE UP MY NIECE...AND SHE TOLD MY IT WOULDN'T START THERE TILL 3 A.M.  HOW WE GIGGLED OVER THAT....WENT TO BED 4 TIMES THAT DAY!!!  IT WAS JUST A LOVELY, LOVELY RESPITE FROM ALL THE BAD NEWS FOR A CHANGE, THOUGHT KATE WAS JUST STUNNING, AND WHAT A HANDSOME COUPLE THEY MAKE.  I WISH THEM ALL GOOD THINGS ALWAYS, AS I DO ALL YOUNG COUPLES STARTING OUT THEIR LIVES TOGETHER.   ENGLAND IS IN MY GENES...AND SWEDEN ON MY DAD'S SIDE.  BUT I AM FIRST AND ALWAYS, AMERICAN.  IF YOU NEED THE FLAG WAVED, I'M YOUR GAL, AND PROUD OF IT.
DID YOU SEE "THE KINGS SPEECH", I THOUGHT IT WAS MARVELOUS, SO GLAD IT AND COLIN FIRTH WON OSCARS.

YOU ALL STAY WELL, HIGH AND DRY AND SAFE.  KEEP THE GOOD THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR ALL THOSE GOING THRU SUCH TIMES AT THE HANDS OF MOTHER NATURE,

Jean so sorry to hear about the flooding with your son's home.  It was good to read of the nice people that came to help.

Elaine, that was a great article on Kelsey.  I know you are proud.

We are having a heat wave.  Up to 95 deg. today and yesterday.  I was gonna cook hamburgers out on the grill, but now, I think I'll cook them inside.  They are better on the grill, but it is so hot!  I know Jerry won't feel like cooking them when he gets home from the ball game.  This is Grant's last week of baseball.  His team has won the last 3 games when I wasn't there, so I don't want to jinx him.  I told Kim, if the team loses tonight, I'll go Thursday.  Everyone thinks I'm silly, but I'm superstitious about that kind of stuff.  Plus, it's hot!  LOL!

The was a big cycle race in Greenville, SC over the weekend, it will be televised Sunday.  So much talk about doping and Lance Armstrong in the middle of it!  Hate to hear that.

Y'all have a good evening!
