JeanB I saw on the news about Wouter & thought of you. Sending prayers for his girlfriend & family & for you too because I know you are shaken up by this.

BHR- Yes, I'm aware my mug awaits me, I'll be glad to mail you the money for it until we can get together.

Prayers for all who live on the flooding Mississippi River.

JeanB - so sorry to hear the sad news about the cyclist.  Stay safe on your bike!

Harriet, feel better soon - you've had enough already!

We have had some beautiful weather, but it's supposed to rain the next couple of days here.   The news from Memphis, Alabama etc. is so devastating.   Prayers to all!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day.  My sons took me to breakfast and my youngest son made me dinner.  So nice to be waited on!

Haven't been on in a while.
Jean, sorry to hear about the cyclist.  He was young and so sad to leave behind his girlfriend and expectant baby.  My prayers are with them.  Also, praying you stay safe riding.

Harriet, sorry to hear you have a sore throat.  My allergies have been acting up.  I think they are worse as I get older.  I'm sneezing, coughing.  I haven't gone to the dr., just taking Claradin D.  I'm not running a fever or anything.

Thinking of all of you near the flooding on the Mississippi.  My SIL lives in Ala, and had some damage from the tornadoes.  Then yesterday, someone broke into their home while they were out shopping and robbed them.  They lived there 40 yrs. and this is the first time anything like that has happened.  They are in their 80's.  Her nephew said the police didn't even take fingerprints or anything.  It would have scared me.

Hope y'all had a nice Mother's Day.  My girls called me in the morning and my dil called Sunday evening.  I went to see an Elvis impersonator at the nursing home.  They had been telling me how good he was.  So Jerry got to take a nap!  LOL!

Y'all have a good evening.

Hello dear friends,
I d'like to thank you all for your concern and prayers for Wouter and his family.
Yesterday, the day after, Wouter's colleagues honoured him by riding the complete 4th. stage (240km/160miles) in bunch.Thousands Italians on the side of the road, honored him with banners, the Belgian flag and applause. Never seen that before. Today the "Giro d'Italia" (three weeks during tour of Italy) was going his "normal" way. I watched the stage on tv, but it wasen't the same. I think it gona take some time.

Hope everybody living on the Mississippi river stay safe of the floods.
Harriet, i hope you feel better soon.
Sharon,so sorry for your sil.

Have a nice day everybody,

Jean

Jean/B so sorry about the accident. It really is difficult to get over something like this. You stay safe..such a tragedy.
we had a accident today & seems like every day, someone gets hit on a motorcycle. People do not seem to respect others rights  here or they are most likely texing... It should be against the law to Text.. while driving..

Harriet, I hope you feel better now also..Think of you always.

If it isn't rain or Hurricanes, it's fires here. we have a huge fire about 60 miles away in the swamp from GA, but it's leaving smoke and ash everywhere and I have to stay indoors. I was ready to leave to go traveling but the interstate by the huge fire is not something I want to deal with now, so we will go later. I hope it stops before it gets to Jax,,.My breathing asthma is bad enough already. we have an air purifier on now and air conditoner, but to go out to get the mail is an awful smell. It looked like fog this Am so thick w/smoke..Pray for rain..

I am so sorry about the floods in MS & the people affected, prayers for them also. I hope those in Arkansas are ok too. Isn't Dee from Ark? I hope she is ok..and family.
Tunica, MS & the casino's are under water halfway, no jobs for them for months..they have  Harrahs etc..peoples lives
are changed forever , most cases no insurance, and the towns , no jobs or money coming in for months. I feel so bad for them. I hope AL has gotten some help, it isn't on our News much now w/the Fires & MS river flood. It is not near the house in MS, Thank God..(Remember to watch CMTtomorrow night, Thurs to see Alan etc.. a great lineup
Sharon so sorry your sil's house , what has happened to our world ... the mean things people do is outrageous. It makes you feel violated to have someone do that to you, I know from experience..bad enough to go through a tornado & then to have this happen , so sorry..If they didn't take fingerprints or look well, I would asked their name and have reported them
to & file a complaint now.. that is terrible..
Kathy, I can identify w/you we need to do some work now on our house and can't get outside. I don't feel well enough now w/the smoke ... need to clear ourt closets. My husband thinks I'm the only one who buys clothes much & he found four suits he has outgrown in Bags LOLI'm totally unorganized from going back & forth to MS so often w/mom before but I would love to enjoy her sweet smiles on Mother's Day.. I hope all you Ladies had a great Mother's Day..
Alan needs to come ,after the smoke fades only..It will take days..
Elaine, I hope you are ok, a computer really makes anyone feel connected. I hate it when mine is out one day ha!
Take care Everyone, Jerrie-MS

Anxious to watch the Flood Disaster Relief concert tonight.  Very glad Alan is taking part in this wonderful concert.  We don't get to see him often enough on TV.
I am SO ready for some new music from Alan - it seems like forever since he had a new song out - it can't be far away if he's working on a new album.

Huge storms yesterday pm & last night.  Of course one of the downpours was when I was driving home from the office last night.  It was slow going & creepy with all the thunder & lightening going on.  It was a white-knuckled drive for sure.

Hot & humid today - but cooling down this weekend.

Kathy,
I could not get through on my phone to donate.. made me so mad as Alan was taking calls too LOL... My Husband mailed our nice gift to help these poor people out.. I feel so bad for all the losses...life and material; things, so sad..
Alan looked great but worked the phones too. He is a great guy, the rest did well also but I wish more singers had
helped out..It will be shown again, so if you missed it, watch for it soon. I donated byo my phone. Good easy way to donate $10.
I loved the Song Alan Sang, it was so nice.
Stay safe , in the storms.. I hate driving in the rain too. All we have to worry about is the smoke from fires in GA swamps.
Stay in is necessary for me, being asthmatic. It has been for a week now really bad out at times. others not so much..
Take care, Jerrie

Hello AJ Friends! Another busy weekend here with us. Just want to answer 3 posts here.

Elaine, CNN's Headline News channel is re-broadcasting this benefit concert tomorrow, Sunday, May 15 at 9PM ET with a post show event following at 10:30PM ET. Please read my post (Missed watching. . . . .?) under the ALAN MUSIC DISCUSSION page of this forum. It's also noted in the AJFC/CMT simulcast broadcast headline news at the homepage.

Jerrie, I think because HLN is re-airing the benefit concert, CMT may not do it (by contract?). At least not this weekend, anyway. They'll probably do it later on next week, if they do.

Harriet, I'll email you tonight. . .re: AJ mug. We're getting ready to go out on our weekend family outing.

Great weekend everyone!

BHR

BHR- Ok, the offer still stands. Appreciate all the info about rebroadcasting of the concert.

Elaine- Hope you can watch the rebroadcast of the benefit concert.

JeanB- They say time heals so I hope that's the case. I know this is difficult for you.

Sharon- Today I woke up without a sore throat for the 1st time in 2 weeks, Sorry to hear about the break-in of yuor Sil.

I watched golf all weekend also.....I would love to have seen Toms win but it just wasn't to be. He was a really good sport about losing I thought..We had a rain that held up the golf for four hours and they had to come back the next day and start at 7am and the had  time for lunch and finished up at 6pm..I am sure they were worn out after such a long week of golf. for sure four days.
