GRAMMY AWARDS: Changes for 2012

The Grammy Awards will feature some changes for their 54th awards show in 2012. Categories will be down from over a hundred to 78. In the country music category, the usual 7 categories will be cut down to just 4: Best Country Solo Performance, Best Duo/Group Performance, Best Country Song and Best Album. All solo categories on all genres will be generalized into one category per genre as Best Solo Performance category. Read here for the rest of the details:

The way I look at it, the competion for the two performances mentioned above will toughen up even more so. Then again. . . .   This may or may not work well but we shall all see what happens when that time comes.
