Thank God no for me and cancer, but my Mom 90 and Sister have it presently..She has just finished long radiation when  we asked her to go to the concert with us , never dreaming I would get a Meet and Greet that very night before!  it was such sweet timming..

Sue can identify with you! I would never guess Sue has survived Cancer, she looks so healthy and is super sweet!
God bless her, I hope she gets a Meet & greet soon..Congrats to all of you who did, isn't it the BEST feeling! I was in the clouds for days. Terry hope to see you too and glad you got a meet and Greet before!

Why does everyone come to Florida on vacation when Alan is here LOL sorry but so little time to prepare now.

Sue , how do you do it as a teacher lady! my teens say their teachers are wonderful, but they make straight A's and it's a breeze

Patti, I didn't count on close seats, in case & good I didn't.. we are in the pit , however.So it may be not as close for you either, be prepared. maybe you or others will get front row( but this is not always good as people stand in front of you) or a Meet & Greet! Wow...that's all I can say.  What an awesome concert.  He really brought it!  My daughter got Alan's autograph and we both caught a guitar pick.  He grabbed both of our hands.  What an experience.  I've never been so close to the stage before.  Kellie Pickler was great too, she grabbed my daughters hand also.  Great Pic's coming soon!  Thanks so much for picking my name for front row seats....unbelievable.

I am so happy for you !! so glad your daughter got Alan's autograph.. I read where "Alan Jackson & Kellie Pickler performed a great show Saturday night @ Merriweather Post Pavilion-- September 19" so happy he did this concert with her. Kellie has made something out of her circumstances of "not being raised with her Mom "etc.. I love her work and feel she is staying on the right path with her career and she has a new Song that is great! This will be a huge boost to her career being w/Alan & plus she sings great!
she is one funny lady and so pretty.. she has her priorities straight and does great in her career and life. a good girl.
Congrats on getting front row seats! Keep us posted on your photos and so happy for you & your daughter.

I have been thinking of you Harriet . My neice who lives in GA, you know where I told you. Anyway she was back in MS to see my Mom,and they were in some of the rain when it started traveling but since she has been there, she is worried about her house and the area..I'm glad she isn't there now but her daughter Ashley drove her and needs to get back to her job, as a nurse in training.

Like you, my Music ranges from Country to chamber Music! My parents introduced me to all kinds of music and I am so glad. There
was a a time when  I would not listen to Country Music, in my teens but as I get older I love getting back to my roots, so to speak.
I like Alan best, but I listen to all good Country. I loved going to Nashville & hearing all the "oldies" for years. It's much better to hear them all "Live". I saw Porter Wagoner's last performance at the Ryman.

Jeri,  Thanks for the info. How long did you get to spend with him?  Did you bring anything with you for him to autograph?  I am in Alan Jackson mode.  All I have been doing is playing his music.  I cannot have enough of his music.  He is my number one Country Singer.  My husband and I got married on October 17th, 1998 which is Alan's birthday (not the year).  I didn't know it, but my husband contacted someone at the fan club (I believe it was Cindy)to see if he could propose to me at one of his concerts.  They said they couldn't do that because everyone would like to do that.  But what I did receive, the day before our wedding day was an autographed picture of Alan, that he addressed to my husband Dan and I, with the message of "Keep Livin' On Love".  I was so thrilled with that.  I cherish that picture with all my heart.

AnitaMartina  how wonderful! Alan is super nice! His Birthday will be soon & so will mine. He is younger than me lol

The guards wont let you bring anything back with you when you go to meet Alan, not even your purse.. you have to check it at the entry. so I would not take anything. He wont sign anything but give you a signed photo when  you depart. Your Email should tell you where to pick up your M&G. do exactly as it says and you will have no problems. It goes fast, so please just relax and enjoy your moment with the Best  Country Music Singer.! He is super nice and we talked and he answered me, he was to go on stage after me & he was already dressed for stage, so perhaps that is why mine didn't appear rushed. some are, due to outfit changes or other things.
No one ever forgets their time with Alan, ever. I am still remembering when. The Most Happy Day of my Life!

Nice review! Sounds like another great Concert. a nice venue is good for a "mini Vacation", even if pricey.

I have learned since going to a lot of Alan's Concerts, that people react differently at each venue, sometimes they like to sit
almost the whole time, until "wwy", and some they stand the whole time. some stand if there is a particular song they like .
with me and others around me, usually we are waving and acting so excited the whole Concert. ha! I do what I feel will not keep others from enjoying the show, but being tall, I have had a gentleman nicely ask me to sit down as they could not see & I did.

I'm sure you came away wanting to hear more. People usually do, Alan leaves you wanting and that is why we keep coming back.
So glad you enjoyed the show and I know Alan was wonderful as always. I would love to hear "WWY" at St Augustine, since
the newly weds from sweden want to hear it so bad.. It is always needed, especially now.

Sorry, I can't see your photos, I do not have facebook and you have to have a password. I'm sure they are great. Love Alan in that Black shirt, it's one of those he wore when I met him.

Good article! Alan seems to connect to those from the very rich, to the less fortunate ! It's what his music is all about, his Life growing up with family in a very modest income family, from all I have read..
Perhaps this makes him appreciate Life even more and feel that he is no better than anyone else. I don't agree when it comes to Singing, he is the Best in Country Music and puts his feelings out there for the World to grasp.
Simply love the man and his music and I am grateful for his positive messages in his songs. Sounds like he has Taken another by his charming ways and marvelous Voice!
