Hello everyone!!  I try and read the boards a few times a week.  I'm not even going to try and reply to everyone's posts.

Sorry for y'all in the stormy weather, wish I could send you some of our sunshine.  The weather here has been very nice.

My sister is doing much better, she is home and has gained 30 pounds (she was down to 90lbs) and gaining strength so they can do surgery.  Thank you all for your prayers for her.

Sara is pregnant again, due around my birthday.  She will be using a high risk doctor this time so hopefully she will not have the same problems she did with the last one.  It's good she found out now as the year anniversary of her losing the last one is next weekend, it should make it a little easier on her.

I was in an accident on 1-11 but thank the good Lord nobody was hurt.  It's the first accident I've ever been in.  It could have been so much worse.  I turned a corner and there was a car headed straight for me, head on.  I tried to go around her on the left as she was already headed for the passenger side of my suburban, but we hit on the passenger side.  She left the scene so I figured I was out of luck to get her information but she came back and said she had fallen asleep, that it was her first accident.  She was pretty shook up but did tell her insurance company it was her fault and that she had fallen asleep.  My suburban has been in the shop since 1-13 but should be ready this week.  I have a brand new Tahoe rental car, but it's still not my suburban.

I'm working a lot more and hoping for some tour dates I can plan some trips for.

Happy Green Bay won today (sorry to those of you rooting for the Steelers)   The quarterback from Green Bay is from Chico, where my son and his fiance live.  He was passed over by all the colleges when he was in high school so he went to the local community college where he was "discovered" by the NFL.  It was nice to see a guy nobody thought was good enough for the NFL make it big.

Hope everyone is doing well, hugs to everyone.  (Jean, isn't it about time for another trip to the US?)

Dot, you are correct, Sharon's birthday is in April.  Today is Sharon from Washington's BD.

It's good to see everyone had a nice Christmas.  Our son and his fiance came down from northern CA, and our daughter and grandson came from AZ so it was really nice.  Our son and his fiance announced a wedding date (FINALLY as they have been together for 11 years, and engaged for 5) in June of 2011.

Thank you all for your prayers for my sister, they are working.  She had dialysis on Christmas Eve and had to have 2 pints of blood.  She has pretty much "out of it" until yesterday.  The blood transfusion helped with her being so cold.  She was much better last night and was able to watch part of the Laker's game, which she loves.

BHR, if the picture I sent you is the one with me on the right and it we are outside, then yes, Sandy is the one in the middle, in a red and white striped shirt.

I saw on the news were Atlanta had the first white Christmas in over 100 years.  That's the storm we had that dropped over 8 inches of rain in a 24 hour period last week, the last of back to back storms over 6 days.

Hope everyone has a safe week, hugs to all my AJ buddies.

Wanted to pop in and wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.  Hope everyone has a safe and blessed time with family and friends.

I am also asking for prayers from all my AJ buddies for my sister, Sandy.  She is just 2 years older than me and was admitted to the hospital last night with the start of kidney failure.  She is down to less than 100 pounds and her son had to carry her to the car from her home.  They moved her to ICU today when they couldn't wake her up.

Betty, please tell Walter how sorry I am to hear this news, and give him a hug from me.  My prayers for you, Walter, and his family during this horrible time.  Where in CA did his sister-in-law and nephew live?

So sorry to hear that Alan is ill.  He must be very sick to cancel a concert.  He never gets sick.  Hope you feel better real soon Alan.

I'm sorry for those fans already there or who went there, but at least it wasn't just canceled, it was postponed so you will still get the concert in the future.  I'm sure Alan feels horrible about having to cancel for tonight, he does love his fans and treats them very good.

Great review Sharon. So happy you had a good time, but we all knew you would.  I missed being there with y'all.  Don't you just love the way they do "As She's Walking Away"?  Did you get any pictures?

So sorry to hear Dizzy is ill and in the hospital.  My prayers and good thoughts for her.  She's a spunky great gal so I'm sure she will be on the road to recovery soon.

Hello everyone, I just don't seem to have the time to do much these days, with school, work, remodeling some parts of the house, etc, it seems like the days just fly by.  I do try to read the board every day but just don't take the time to post and since the whole world can read the board, it just isn't the same as before when we had the private platinum area where at least you had to be a member to even read it.

I did have a great time this past weekend seeing Alan 3 times.  I took Amanda (one of my special needs clients) to the one in LA and she was so excited she was shaking most of the time.  She caught a pick that Alan threw and I thought she was going to pass out...LOL  It was a good thing she was holding onto the stage when Alan signed her CD insert.  We drove to the LA venue early in the afternoon because I know how LA traffic is, especially on a Friday afternoon, plus the Lakers had a home game right across the street but we didn't even have a slow down on the freeway....THAT'S A FIRST for me after more than 40 years driving in So Cal.  We hit more traffic coming home from Vegas on Sunday than Friday in LA.

I managed to fall at the venue in Vegas outside before the concert and scrape up my knee again.  All three concerts were great, as always and I realize just how much I miss traveling all over to see Alan.  I hope to do more next year with one of my clients changing the company that provides services which will give me more hours and money.  I will probably be able to pick up a couple more clients through this company.

The weather here has been in the 80's or 90's, then down to the 50's and back up to the 80's every few days so all the trees here are really confused as to loosing their leaves.  It's cold and windy today and is suppose to be warmer by Weds.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying every day.

I just got home from Vegas, what a great 3 days seeing Alan, the Strayhorns, and friends.  I had FANTASTIC seats all 3 concerts, 3rd row center stage, 2nd row right in front of Monty and Mark, then 2nd row center stage in Vegas but since the front row seat just in front of me was vacant, guess where I was??  Yep, front row center!!

Great crowds at all three concerts, didn't sit down at all, except during the "sit down" portion of the concert.  It was wonderful to see and hear Monty sing the Zac Brown part of "As She's Walking Away" with Alan.  Mark put a beanie hat on Monty for the part which even made Alan giggle.  Alan had on a different pair of jeans last night, instead of the buttons down by his boots, it was leather lacing.

Alan was in a great mood and had a really GOOD TIME at all the concerts.  Each one was a little different as far as the set list goes, which was nice.  I got my row "neighbors" to help with the GOOD TIME signs at all the concerts, but some of the them had a little trouble at the second show.  Last night was perfect and it was cool to do them in the front row, right in front of Alan.

I was lucky enough to get something signed at all three shows.  He signed his "star" that I had gotten from the AJ store and held it up.

We hadn't planned on staying in Vegas last night, but all I can say is "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas"...LOL
Had a blast though and now it's back to the real world.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes, I really appreciate them.  Went to Chili's for dinner (where our daughter Sara is a server) so she waited on us and of course we left her a great tip...LOL
