Sorry it has been so long in getting back with all of you, I am Athlea's daughter signing in for her.  Mom is hanging in there, this past year has been a hard one for her, not feeling well and dealing with my husband heart bypass surgery, but I am glad to say she is still hasn't lost her love for Alan and all her friends at the AJ fan club.  I have been hoping for a concert close enough so I could take her this year, but so far that hasn't been possible.  I would like to thank everyone for all her birthday wishes last Oct. for her 92nd birthday!!! I hope to post in the next few days a picture of what I did with the birthday wishes from all of you.  I used a multi picture frame and added pictures from our AJ concert last year and then printed the wishes from all of you and place them all over along with the concert pictures.  It was the best gift she could have received!!  I am very blessed that she will be having her 93rd this October!!!

Thanks to all who have sent birthday wishes to Athlea for her 92nd birthday...today is the big day for her so if you havn't sent her a happy birthday you can still do so , later today i will print these out and put them in a picture frame along with pictures we took at Alan's concert in May of this year, so please send your birthday wishes today!!
Thank you all for being so sweet and kind to my mom, she is one of the best and I love her so much and hearing from Alan's fans will really make her day so special.

Hello everyone....just wanted to let you all know that ATHLEA will be celebrating her 92ND BIRTHDAY this coming week and I know she would be so grateful for any birthday wishes from her Alan family of friends!!! The past few weeks have been hard for her....my husband and Athlea's son inlaw (he is just like her son) had to have a 5 bypass open heart surgery, he didn't know any thing was wrong but thought he had pulled a chest muscle, but with a good doctor found the problems and now back at home. So, Athlea could really use your support to let her know how special this 92nd birthday is!!!  She is the most special friend and mom any girl could have, so please if you have a few minutes post her birthday wishes and i will print them for her and she will be so surprised and thrilled to hear from everyone..I know when she blows out the candles on her birthday cake that her wish will be to see Alan on his next tour in 2011!!!!  (and I will make sure that happens for her).  Thank you again for all the past support you have given mom, I never knew when joining Alan's fan club would bring her so many friends!!! Alan....hope this is one of your best birthday's yet....enjoy the day with family and friends....that is what makes life so special!  Thank you for making this year one of the best for me....was so lucky to see you in Charleston, WV 2010.  You and your family are so special and I hope you can live to see your 92nd birthday like I will be celebrating later this month....(and hope to see you again before my 93rd!!!)

Thank you all for your support...i will get back with you about her birthday,it will mean so much to her. we are working on the review and hopefully put up some pics from the concert....have been looking at the tour shows, hopefully i will be able to get her to another show of alan's. We had the greatest seats this last time at Charleston WV but to let you know how much she wanted to see alan the first time we didn't get tickets till late and our seats were last row at the tip top of the civic center as she was celebrating her 85th birthday at the time and had heart surgery not long before that...but she climbed all the way and we had a great time!

hello everyone... so sorry about mom not being here sooner, i thought we had put her review on the computer, but it went haywire, so no computer for awhile.  so we didn't know the review hadn't posted. Athlea is doing pretty well right now, she hasn't been so well this summer, but we still talk almost daily about our trip to Alan's concert. ( I am the luckiest girl in the world to have such a sweet and wonderful mother and best friend)  Alan's concerts was one of the greatest things we have done together (we have been to four since she turned 85 and now almost 92 I hope and pray we get the chance again!!)  When it comes to Alan, mom becomes 29 again, she always watches the country charts on tv to see how he is doing.  She will be celebrating her 92nd in OCTOBER, and i know if she could get birthday wishes from all her friends from alan's fan club she would be so happy and ocourse a birthday wish from Alan would just top the cake!!  But I did want to let you know about mom and once again so sorry about the review, I will be with her today and will get a new one ready...  but i can tell everyone we had the greatest time, the greatest concert, and the greatest people....thank everyone for being there for mom, it means the world to both of us...Athlea's daughter

hi, i am athlea's daughter, we have returned from the charleston, west virginia show. mom will be back later today to let everyone know about her trip to see alan jackson. my opinion is we had the most wonderful time and what a great show to see.  mom did so well but is catching up on her rest.  she told me to tell you it was wonderful.  thank you for athlea

GOOD MORNING TO ALL...TODAY IS THE BIG DAY!  COUNTING THE HOURS TO THIS SPECIAL TIME.  ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU ALL , EVERYONE HAS MADE THIS A SPECIAL DAY ALREADY AND YET THE CONCERT IS STILL TO COME.  I LOVED HEARING FROM ALL OF YOU AND YOUR STORIES OF LOVE AND COMPASSION FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS.  I FEEL I HAVE MANY NEW FRIENDS BEING IN THE FAN CLUB.  YOUR HELP HAS BEEN GREAT.  I DID HAVE ONE MORE SURPRISE YESTERDAY I WOKE UP FINDING AT MY FRONT DOOR WITH MY NAME ON IT, A NEWPAPER STORY OF ALAN BEING IN CHARLESTON AND HELPING THE MINERS FAMILIES, BUT HOW NICE OF SOMEONE TO THINK OF ME TO LET THAT, JUST SHOWS HOW PEOPLE REALLY DO CARE!  CAN'T WAIT TO TELL YOU ALL ABOUT THE CONCERT BUT THE SAD PART WILL BE THAT MEANS IT WILL BE OVER, BUT I WILL HAVE GREAT MEMORIES AND NOW GREAT FRIENDS TO SHARE THAT WITH.  BLESS YOU ALL, ATHLEA
