From All About Country:

Georgia Country.com Fires Up
Georgia-Country.com now has a very cool website to support Country Artists native to and performing in Georgia.
The Association's Founder, Dan Seals says, the new site makes it possible to promote Country music in Georgia even better. He tells us, "We have been working hard for months to get this right (still some things to tweek and continue to improve upon). We have several pages for all the different areas, from major concerts coming up, to pictures of GC events and other shows, to videos."

He also says they've begun the voting process for the 2010 Georgia Country Awards. Check out the new site by clicking here.

Thanks for the link, Harriet. Interesting to find out how many country music venues (saloons, etc.) they have here in GA and local country music talents as well. Times must have really changed or either that, my mindset is still on how it was when we were living in Charleston, SC back in the early and mid-late '70s, where it seems everywhere we went all you hear is rock/heavy metal music.

Browsing the site, I decided to check the Georgia-Country Awards page. Alan is among the nominees in the FAVORITE NATIONAL COUNTRY ARTIST category and is currently leading in votes. Anyone who wish to put in their votes, click on the link below and scroll down. Just choose anyone and any place on the rest of the categories like I did and click on the VOTE box. It will take you to the result page so you can keep track of Alan's and anyone else you voted for's place in the voting.

Thanks for the link Harriet. I went in and voted...didn't know anyone or any venue, etc. but good ole Alan...so I had to vote for everything just to cast a vote for our man. I didn't mind a bit.

Thanks again!

Thanks Harriet.  Another place to vote for Alan.  Yee Haw..  So far, he is leading.
I should have written down the other names to see how they were fairing.  Fun thing this morning.   Thanks again.
