What a Show! This time, a great Country Music Show!
Did you see that crowd standing to give Alan Jackson the longest Standing Ovation!! YeeHaw!!!!!!!!!! Alan as Always, chosing the right songs and Keeping it Country! It made me cry to see how All the Singers seemed to overwhelmingly applaud Alan for his Music and out of respect for another Singer also. Alan did so many Songs so fast but Great, for so many. I wish Miranda had introducted him. Looking great as usual and one of the pretty shirts he is famous for wearing, such great ones.At the end I had to cry during "Where Were You", My husband thought Alan got choked up then also, but it was Touching to watch him and the crowd.
My Heartfelt Congrats to Alan and his Strayhorns, for their great work and so many Songs Alan has inspired us with! Touching hearts all over the World, and still remains that Southern man from small town GA, USA!!! I am so proud for Alan and he Indeed deserves this Special Award.. Congrats for enriching so many lives and my Life especially, from the bottom of my Heart, as a Fan I Love Alan's work and have come to love the Man himself, for who he is and what he stands for! Love and Family!
God Bless You Alan Jackson from me in Florida,& MS- Jerrie-MS PS- Congrats to all the ones who won tonight and God Bless! Trace Adkins was so funny! At Last, a fine Country Show!!! Loved it! Thanks to ACA for keeping it Country!

I agree....what a GREAT show. Alan of course was MAGNIFICIENT as always. They did a really great job on the medley of hits. It was almost like a mini concert with a little of this and a little of that. Did you notice he was putting his hand out and lowering it for them to stop with the applause. I don't think I have ever been more proud of him than tonight. Congratulations ALAN and the Strayhorns................YOU DESERVE IT AND WE ALL LOVE YOU !!! YEE HAW!

Well said from both of you. I too was so very proud of him and to be an Alan Jackson fan. I do believe that I had tears of joy when everyone showed their admiration for a living legend. Leslie

Hey Leslie - welcome back! I agree last night was impressive - I loved how all the other stars sang along with Alan - nice to see they do that too - like we all do! I loved the standing ovation - also so impressive being his peers. Odd choice for the actual award tho - LOL I loved Trace as the host - I have seen a lot of talk that people didn't .....hmmm. Loved seeing Toby be recognized as well - my 3 top guys! Congratulations, clean shaven Mr Jackson! of course you are number 1 on my list!

I have to agree with all of your sentiments. I, too, got a little emotional and absolutely was speechless to see the other country artists, along with the fans, singing too along with Alan. All I could think to say was, "WOW!." The standing ovation was incredible. JERI, I noticed Alan got choked up when he was singing the last verse of "Remember When" on that line about their children growing up and moving away (from home). I think it's a little harder for him to sing that line now with Mattie already on her own and Ali would soon be too. His performance, overall, is great despite the fact that they seemed to have sound problem the whole show. . .too echoey (sp?). Yes, indeed, Alan is deserving of the award they gave him and the outstanding and quite overwhelming, as you said it JERI, reception both the fans and the other country artists has given him at the show.
CONGRATULATIONS, ALAN, FOR A VERY WELL DESERVED ACA GREATEST HITS AWARD!!!!!!!

Yes, I agree with all of you...such a great show. Alan finally got some respect. I could still hear a little raspiness (sic) in his voice...I heard it on CMT Saturday too. I think it's left over from Cincinnati. I am just so happy to see the audience & peers great reaction to "our" legend.

Thanks ladies for putting everything so prefectly. ALAN YOU WERE PERFECT. Always not wanting the just rewards and vocatons that he so justly deserves. So many years of great songs and it does not stop with the 34 number ones. (I just noticed that one of my all time favorites "Little Man" was not on the #1 list). It was nice to see not one artist receiving every reward and hope it continues that way. CONGRATULATIONS ALAN. WE WILL ALWAYS YOU. Marian

I loved Alan's medley of some of his great songs. I really couldn't believe how all the other artists in the audience were singing along with him. And what a well- deserved ovation at the end. The whole thing was wonderful. I'm so glad Alan got so much respect.
