From CMT News:

Eddie Montgomery Battling Cancer
November 19, 2010

Montgomery Gentry- Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will undergo surgery in December, he confirmed Thursday (Nov. 18). "I will be back in January ready to rock for all the fans," he said in a written statement. "Please keep my family and [me] in your prayers." Montgomery Gentry are in Canada for shows Thursday in Orillia, Ontario, and Friday (Nov. 19) in Windsor, Ontario. They return to Nashville for Charlie Daniels' annual Christmas 4 Kids concert at the Ryman Auditorium on Monday before completing their 2010 concert schedule with a Dec. 4 show in Charlotte, N.C. They're scheduled to resume touring in February.

I like Montgomery Gentry- saw them in concert & they were great live entertainers. It is sad to see this news about Eddie but I hope the surgery will get it all. Prayers going up for Eddie & his family.

Saw Eddie and T-Roy on Friday night in Windsor. It was a great show - I scored front row seats at face value on ebay. Eddie looked good. They played for an hour and a half and the only bad part was the venue.  They are really jerks up there - no cameras so I only got 41 pictures and you can't stand up.    I think that is so disrespectful to a country artist to sit during their performance. My husband fought for a pick and the young lady who seated us gave me her set list - that part was cool.   Anyway - sending prayers and good thought to Eddie Montgomery - Godspeed Eddie!

Sorry to hear this..Our Prayers for Eddie Montgomery  and those who love him. If gotten to early , this type of cancer can be managed, with a good Dr..I have known three people to have this and all lived years after, but I realize everyone is
different too. Prayers for him and much success on his recovery. a postive attitude is so imporatnt too.

God Bless, Jerrie-MS
