Alan's "Dixie Highway" collaboration with the Zac Brown Band is nominated in the Musical Event of the Year category at the 2012 CMA Awards. Though I didn't expect him to get nominated on any of the top categories, it still feels sad not to see his name under those.

Why doesn't Alan every get nominated for the top Categories, I really don't understand the way they choose who gets and who doesn't get nominated. I think Alan is just as good or better than Tim, Toby, Kenny, Jason and the rest.......
So sad, I hope Alan doesn't get too disappointed and stops writing and singing.

Congratulations Alan and Zac. I was surprised since it has not been released as a single or on video, but I am expecting both soon. Fabulous song and great collaboration. A real winner.

I enjoyed watching Alan sing "Dixie Highway" on ABC last night.

P.S.-Allison, not to worry Alan has had a great career and has hung in there for Years and gets better & better!
Great Songwriter too! He makes us all proud, win or lose.
