when i was a kid, my dad was a huge hank williams sr. fan. whenever he pulled the old gibson out of the case he would play a hank song.i always wondered how the music playing from those old cracklin mgm albums could have such a stronghold on his musical interest. back then their were so many great country artists to listen to and enjoy.well, times change but some things stay the same , cause alan to me is what hank was to my dad. the king of country for these times. cant wait to get "the lost notebooks " cd. has anyone heard any songs from it ?

Hi Rick,  I got the cd as soon as it was available.  The whole thing is pretty good but Alan is the standout for me.
Love it!

Rick, I agree with you. Alan should have been Artist of the Decade in the 90's. They gave it to Garth Brooks- guess he sold more records & had "Entertaning" shows butI'll take Alan any day.

The commercialism of Country Music is driving me crazy.
