I regret not having seen this earlier, my apologies. Will certainly add to the prayer list. Please keep us posted. A reminder to have a monthly prayer list started on Oct. 1 to assure that I don't miss anyone.

Thank you all, again for your continued prayers for my FIL (and my MIL as well). My FIL is continuing to do well. With the help of the Isokinetic and toy squeeze balls I bought my FIL, he's slowly regaining function of his right hand and wrist. I'm really glad now that my sons and I were able to go to Alan's concert in Macon and had the M&G also, not only it gave us a sense of relief from all the stresses that has been involve with my FIL having had the stroke, but also because we have just been once again informed of another family emergency family situation. . . .this time, my sister.
I received an email the other night from my sister in Ohio that she had been involved in a car accident last Wednesday. She was on her way home from work and on the drive lane she was driving at was a parked flatbed truck. She said there was no sign that a truck was parked there and the sun glare was in her eyes so she didn't see it was there and crashed her van into it. The front end of her car was crumpled. She was wearing her seatbelt but her car's airbags did not deploy so her chest hit the steering wheel and her knees smashed against the dashboard. She was in a lot of excruciating pain but did not lose conciousness. She was in the hospital for a few days and is resting at home now still hurting badly. The good news is she didn't have any broken bones just bruises especially around her knees. Amazingly, she did not get hurt worse. She had double knee replacement surgery about 5 years ago and is using prosthesis in both knees. She said they were not damaged but she's making an appointment to see her regular orthopedic surgeon this week just to make sure. Please add her to your prayers.
Miamired, I think we may really need a monthly prayers thread started here at the forum. I agree with you.
Thank you all, again, so much. My family and I appreciate all your prayers.
BHR

Allison, thank you for asking and for your care and concern. My FIL is doing fine now and is continuously regaining feelings and motion in his right hand and wrist. He's slowly getting back to "normal." I posted an updates with additional prayer requests on the October monthly prayer thread. Please read it over there. Thank you, again, for caring and for your thoughts and prayers. Take care, you too.
And THANK YOU so very much, everyone for all your prayers for my FIL , MIL and my sister, who was in a car accident. My family and I appreciated them greatly.
HUGS, BHR

BHR, I hope everyone is improving... What a lot of things happening! So sorry about your FIL's stroke but it must make you feel good to have been able to supply the ball that helps him recover.
I hate it when I hear the airbags don't deploy! Your sister truly had a miracle with all those impacts not causing more damage. My older sis had one knee replaced a couple of years ago and I know what she went thru to recover afterwards. You sure don't want anything to damage all that hard work.
You take care, please, and know that I don't get on the computer too often these days..due to a 'frozen shoulder'...which happens to be my right one and I'm right handed. Been seeing the chiro since mid-August with this shoulder situation and started going to therapy in Oct. so ,,,for a month now. It looks like a long road to recover my full range of motion and see a second therapist tomorrow to see if I change from 2 times a week to 3...and still see the chiro once a week now (that changed last week from twice..which had been 3 times a week).
