We went to both the Thursday and Friday concert here in Brissy--thurdsay night sat way up high in the almost nose-bleed section but friday night had 4th row from the front almost right in line wit AJ..(Thanks to the FANCLUB PRESALE)/ When we saw him doing some signing from the stage at the end of the show on the thursday we were determined to get close enough on the friday night with a photo of my husband and myself that was taken backstage at the GRAND OLE OPRY back in JUNE 1992.. when our aussie mate Barry Coburn was AJ'S MANAGER.
Just before he came back out for the encore we got to the front of the stage (some wonderful people who saw my photo and knew i hoped to get it signed-they let me get in front of them..THANK YOU THANK YOU-YOU REALLY HELPED MAKE MY NIGHT A DREAM COME TRUE).. Anyway AJ strolled across the stage signing hats and tee shirts for people and the he was coming to end of the stage where i was holding up the photo...He saw it and gave me that big wonderful smile and said something but i couldn't hear from the noise of the band. As i was a bit far away from the actual stager he steped off onto one of the  speakers to get the photo from me and after almost 19 years i got the photo signed!!!!What a night-what a concert-WHAT A MAN!!!! Wish i was going again tonight...

ajsrose, so happy you got to the stage and got the pic signed.  Like you said, it is like a dream come true.

When I go to the stage I always hold whatever I want A. J. to sign up really high, sometimes I have to stand on my tip toes to reach high.

Happy for every one who is getting to see A. J. in concert.

I was there too both of the nights, hubby made hundreds of pictures.
AJ was again terrific and wonderful so were the crowds..
had awesome seats, 4th row pits....the security sucks, I saw a lot of people making videos and they did not do anything about it!!!

Anyway I had a great time, I'll post some of the pics when I get home, so be very patient  LOL

Congrats to All of you for seeing Alan and The Band! It's so exciting hearing all the way from Australia!!!!!!!!!!!

Kimberly, perhaps security is more Lax there, Thye may let people make small video's on little camera's on their phone etc..
They do not allow professional type camera's for Video's here..I am glad you got photos, but I know you are too tired to get them posted, it's really hard for me to post photos after having seen a Concert.. Thanks for all you've told about seeing Alan, appreciate it so much!

AJsrose, so glad you got your photo signed. Sharon went up to the stage with me once and got something signed, it's so much fun..Like you, I could not hear anything..That is a photo to cherish as jean said..That is heaven going from "nosebleed seats" to 4th row! Congrats! So ahppy for you & your Husband.

Dot, I'm so tall, I just held mine up high and Alan grabbed it to sign.. It is a Dream come true Indeed and seeing Him and meeting him was Heaven.. I'll be so glad when we can go see him again here in FL or Nashville..anywhere we can drive to..
"oldgirl" , sorry I don't know your name but so happy you got to see Alan In Australia!!!!!!So happy you enjoted the Concert! I have seen Alan many, Many times and I always still want to see him again.. each year..at least twice.  Thanks for all your comments about Alan in Concert in Australia!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi Rose,

I was also in the front row standing up at the Friday night concert. My brother was also standing and a bit away from me and after the show told me about your story. He was really buzzed for you and was amazed at the photo you had. My brother was one of the ones that helped you to the front. He said Allan said 'awesome' or something along those lines. We all seen him stand on the speakers to get to you. Deany said Allan's eyes really lit up when he seen you photo.

For a performer of his caliber we were absolutley amazed at how humble he was and how generous he was. This for me was in my wildest dreams only 12 months ago, now I have seen him, hold one of his picks and have a signed hat.

We spoke of you experience as we had a beer after the show and all agreed it would have been a magical moment.

Congrats to you.

WOW.  It is so nice to hear everyone had a great time at the shows. AJSROSE, I am so glad for you to have that picture signed.  I got a picture of Alan and me, from my meet & greet over a year ago, signed this year too.  I had to climb over the front seats to do it and hold the picture as high as possible so he could see it. But it was worth it. That picture is a keepsake that I have in my family room.  Like Jeri, I have seen Alan many times and I never attended a bad concert.
Kimberly, I don't know when you are going back home, but have a safe trip home and I am glad you were able to see him for both concerts too.
Kurt and oldgirl, I am glad that you had the opportunity to see him too.  I am glad that you all enjoyed seeing him.  I don't think anyone would be disappointed at one of his concerts.  He is an awesome performer.
