My DJ tried to explain it to me but , I still do not get it.. A Lot of things figure into air-play. The votes by the
people , each vote only counts one. It takes a lot of votes to get airplay..
Alan has had great Songs not played well, It's just really a hit or miss thing.. If you have a Hit, they play it, but if someone
Requests doesn't always make the song get air-play, except on the station that will play the songs you Request.
Not many do here.. My DJ plays things for me because he knows I'm a big time AJ Fan also I do community work with them by sending my hubby to buy call cards and they send them to the Troops to call home. Gator Country does so much for
Jax, People should help out more by sponsering them.. It's not a clearchannel station..like WQIK is, here in Jax..
I would do ANYTHING to get ALAN's Music Played here... well Almost..

I noticed many stations have added "Ring of Fire" . My local station 999GatorCountry.com WGNE Played ( after I requested in Email) "As She's Walking Away" w/Alan. I was so happy to hear it!!, the first time in ages.. So looks like Email is the way to go here. She ( The DJ)is also the director of the station I think- Alan could call her & she would get it played and "Ring of Fire".. Or perhaps Email, since the phone you can't get usually. [email protected] Michele is a dream DJ, she works so hard for this Radio station. she is Great, one strong Lady and only in her 20's I think..They have him saying "Hi, I'm Alan Jackson" , so he has recorded there already..They post several conversations with Singers..
This is station's call letters WGNE but online it's 999gatorcountry.com ok . If you would like to request there for Alan, send to Mchase etc.. If you are in the listening area. It goes to daytona too & gainsville.. so Request..Dizzy keep Emailing ok.. I know you listen to the wqik but they may be together, who knows..a sister station..Just Email Michele the address is above.. Thanks! Jeri
