It seemed as though the waiting took forever and finally Alan arrived in my hometown, Rockford, IL. We had 2nd row seats, thank you so very much to the fan club! The Harter's opened the show, a trio, brother/sister group. Hopefully they will continue to find success as everyone seemed to truly enjoy them.
We were just a few seats off from center stage, a perfect view to enjoy everything Alan! I didn't write down the setlist but he played a great selection of hits including: Hard Hat and a Hammer, Drive, Country Boy, Remember When (One of my favorites!), 5 O'Clock Somwhere, Who's Cheatin' Who, Pop A Top, Little Bitty, Don't Rock the Jukebox, Woman's Love, Where Were You, Small Town Southern Man, Chattahoochee, Good Time, and Mercury Blues. Alan's smile and his wonderful stage presence is what makes his shows my ultimate favorite year after year. His camera crew did a great job of capturing clips of our city. The audience cheered as they saw their favorites on screen and Alan even had to turn his head a couple of times to see what we were cheering for - Rockford IceHogs, our local Beef-A-Roo restaurants, or a Hooter's restaurant! There was one encore where he signed autograph after autograph, making his way across the stage, taking time for each and every one of us!
Thank you Alan for making the stop in Rockford this year. Sorry to see that our city didn't pack the house though. I believe he performed for about 4,000 people. This year I was lucky enough to see Alan twice in one year and would definitely attend a 3rd, if the opportunity arises! I have been a true fan since his beginning and enjoy every single moment that he is on the stage performing. Thank you Alan for being such an incredible man and for sharing your amazing talent with us!

Hello cntrybunkn! That's funny that you noticed me on both boards! I honestly read the boards more than I have posted over the years. That was a good idea to pick up all the cd's that Target had! I wasn't even thinking, just grabbed it and had it open before I reached the car so I could pop it in and listen to the new song! I can't get enough of it ~ it is soo Awesome!
I was just blown away at the zbb concert! We had so much fun! They are all so talented and lovin' the energy! I didn't get the E&G's though. By the time the system allowed me to see the page to order them, they were sold out. So that's my next mission, getting to an E & G the next time we are lucky enough to see them in concert! Take Care!

Your welcome! I love As She's Walking Away, I think I've worn out the cd already! The 2nd song on the cd, Colder Weather, is an awesome new song from zbb also. Counting down the days til Alan arrives in Rockford on Sept. 24

I was at this show in the front row! It was an incredible show and zbb did play, As She's Walking Away. Sure would have been nice to see them both up there performing it! Target Stores have a Zac Brown Band 2-song cd out today for $1.99. It includes As She's Walking Away with Alan and ZBB's Colder Weather. There is a $2 coupon to use toward the upcoming zbb album to be released on 9/21/2010.

I was at the Rosemont show last night and thought I'd comment on mar4aej 's post about Chris Young. I honestly did not know much about Chris before attending the show. But, I can honestly say that after watching him perform last night, he definitely has a new fan! (Actually picked up his music today!) I truly enjoyed everything about him, he has a beautiful smile and just seemed to be having so much fun up there. I was walking back around after my Meet & Greet with Alan and Chris was signing autographs in the hall. I pulled out my camera to see if I could just get a quick picture as I walked by and Chris actually stopped signing and took a second to give me the peace sign and smile!
I am so appreciative of winning the Alan M & G. It was awesome meeting AJ's road manager, getting outside close to the bus, watching the others with Alan, I was in 7th Heaven! When it was finally my turn, I couldn't get up to Alan fast enough. Of course, he looked fantastic, got a hand shake, picture and then I just had to ask him if I could shake his hand again! Alan laughed, said SURE!, shook my hand again and probably thought I was a crazy woman!! The show was fabulous as usual. We had 2nd row seats, close to center and I enjoyed every single minute of it! I too enjoyed the segment where Alan sat & told stories before the songs. Went to the stage toward the end of the show, was also very lucky to shake Alan's hand AGAIN! and get a pick too!! The night couldn't have been more perfect! A big thank you to Cindy, Alan, and the fan club for the M & G and great seats!
