Have a great day with family and friends. Thanks for all the 25 years of awesome music.
This is an important day for me because it is your birthday but it is my husband Dan and my wedding anniversary. It is 16 years today.

MarJen, Awesome right up of the show. When never did do the red carpet out of the limo. We did not have time for it. It was so nice to meet Leah, MarJen, Dot for the first time. Allison and I both live in Canada so we have seen each other at a few shows. His new song that will be on his new album "Angels and Alcohol" is going to be a hit. I love it. Also I got to meet Hootie and her husband. They were sitting beside me at the show. I wish I could go to the Oct 22nd show. I hear there will be some surprises.

Yes I am sorry I did not see your post. We left early Tues morning from Ontario, Canada and drove straight thru. It took us close to 15 hours. It should of took us closer to 14 hours but we had alot of heavy rain and construction that slowed us down. It would of been nice to have met you.

What an awesome show Alan and the Strayhorns put on. It was nice to see Denise and Cindy Hart in the audience. Didn't get a chance to talk to them. Got to meet a few of my AJ sisters. Sorry I did not see your post Hope or we could of had you join us. A few of us met at Acme Feed & Seed before the show which was really nice. We walked past the taping of Nashville after Alan's show. I wonder when they will broadcast that on TV.

Left on Tues morning from Ontario, Canada and drove to Nashville to go to the show and it was an amazing show. Met up with Leah, Allison, Dot, MarJen at Acme Feed&Seed before the show. Also it was nice to meet Hootie, who I sat beside at the show. We were a couple of seats behind Alan's niece and family. Denise(wife), Dani (daughter) and Cindy (president of AJ fan club) were all there in the stands. I was hoping to meet up with them but did not get the chance. But did get to talk to his niece and kids. His new song coming out "Angels and Alcohol" I believe is going to be a HIT. We went to the museum in the morning of show day and got to see all his stuff. What a collection! Went to the bars/clubs at night and the next day to experience the life downtown Nashville. We toured around Franklin, saw Alan's old home, and other famous stars. Went to Westlawn and Hendersville cemetaries and saw the burial plots of Porter Wagoner, Owen Bradley, George Jones, Tammy Wynette and Roy Orbison's wife and two sons, and Johnny Cash & June Carter. Went to the Friday night show at Grand Ole Opry and saw Bill Anderson, Jeannie Seely, Lady Antebellum, and the Willis Clan (12 kids from one family. They were on America's Got Talent). We stayed at the Gaylord Opryland Resort for our last two nights. Now that is an amazing resort. Then on our way home yesterday stopped in Lexington Kentucky to see all the horse farms. They were unbelievable. Stopped at the Kentucky Horse Park to get a photo of the Secretariat statue, as the jockey Ron Turcotte, was from our area at Windfield Farms, Oshawa, ON Canada. He was the jockey when Secretariat won the Triple Crown. Overall, other than the weather, we had an awesome time on our vacation and met alot of fabulous fans/people and hope to have this experience again.

BHR, just read your msg on your SIL. I hope she is getting better all the time. My thoughts and prayers are with you for her. I am not on here very much. Just have too much to do lately. I am off work today so I thought I take a look on here. Tried to get AJ tickets to a concert not that far from where I live. I was waiting for the fan club preferred seating and found out today when the tickets went on sale for the public that they were not giving them for this concert. It would be nice to find out earlier so that you are prepared to get tickets when they do go on sale for the public. I tried getting them, but the seats were too far back and expensive. I miss his concerts. I have not been to one for over a year.

This is February 10th, 2014. I just received my AJ Christmas card in the mail. I wondered what happened. I see the postage on the envelope was dated Feb 3rd, 2014.
Better late than never.
